And to be fair, I don't see why not.

Doesn't take away from the character, especially the way Grant Morrison handled it.

Having Batman deal with an assassin a-hole son is fun.

Doesn't mean that you have to turn the character into the "wholesome Mr. Mom" caricature that a part of the comic book social media / meme culture seems to be so enamoured with.

And I trust James Gunn with that.

Amen. He’d be terrible. With a few exceptions, “fan faves” usually just make me grateful fans aren’t casting movies, and he’s the perfect example of why that is.

Jarvis' performance in Shogun was kind of all over the place for me. Took a while to get used to it, but never truly did tbh. He wasn't bad though.

I'd be indifferent. I feel like I'd need to see him do it to even get a real idea of it.
