I can just see them vibing sooo well. I see the vision clearly.
Peck does the stoic dry humor thing f***ing fantastically on Star Trek. Not to get things thrown at me, but he's hands-down my favorite Spock (Leonard's still iconic tho!). Last week, he damn near stole the episode with only 3 seconds of screentime. If they want a Batman in this universe who's got that dry humor dynamic with Supes, he'd be a stellar pick, imo.
I'm not seeing it personally. And besides, different hairstyles work wonders.![]()

idk To me he looks more similar to Pattinson than he does his own grandfather lol. They could play brothers and I wouldn't even question it. Not in that they're an exact match but that the vibes are just similar enough.

The problem with people having the same qualities as Pattinson for Batman is... those are the qualities of Batman.
Ehhh, I'd say that's true if not for the fact that unlike Superman, not a single one of the previous Batman actors looks like one another one bit.The problem with people having the same qualities as Pattinson for Batman is... those are the qualities of Batman.
Yeah, maybe if they styled him something like this it could work. On a vacuum I prefer him to most other options it's just the Pattinson thing that gives me trepidation:I'm not seeing it personally. And besides, different hairstyles work wonders.

Oh if Muschietti stays as director even wardrobe, hairstyling and makeup is destined to be **** lmao The wigs he gave both Affleck and Keaton in The Flash were horrendous. Not really a fan of how he dressed Keaton either. His visual sensibilities are horrible even for the most basic things.Muschietti's Bruce will probably look like Chris Kattan from A Night at the Roxbury.![]()

As for the tacky and unrefined thing though I think that depends more on the writer. And like I said, I don't think Gunn is gonna intentionally try to zig in every place Reeves zags, but I do think that at least in regards to casting you'd ideally want someone that brings something /really/ different; tho seeing how miserable the choices are in the 30s age range a compromise can be made.

The only other thing that might work against him is that he's a full 9 centimeters shorter than Corenswet and I could imagine Gunn disqualifying based on that seeing how he appareantly based on his shortlist doesn't even want a Luthor any shorter than Superman lmaoWell, a big part of what would make him come across tacky and unrefined are those poor visual sensibilities you're referring to. Having a good writer who gets the character certainly helps, but if he/she isn't on the same page with the director (because really, it's a collaborative effort), then you have a real problem on your hands.
But anyway, it's settled then. Peck is the DCU Batman. All proceeds will be donated to a charity of @flickchick85 's choosing.![]()
Its the dry humour that sells him for me in the role. God, Batman in ensembles is comedy gold when written well.I can just see them vibing sooo well. I see the vision clearly.

Yeah, Battinson would be perfect along side CorenSupes, but I'm not willing to sacrifice Reeves' creative autonomy to get that, so oh well. Its the dry humour that sells him for me in the role. God, Batman in ensembles is comedy gold when written well.
It is good that The Batman isn't part of the DCU but Pattinson lowkey would have been just perfect in that sort of group dynamic. One of my favourite quotes from him about the role is that the reason Batman is funny sometimes is that he is essentially incapable of understanding that he could conceivably be funny which is absolutely nail on the head right.

Hoult's a really good choice, imo, but he was a really good choice for The Batman. That movie I can see him slotting into perfectly but he doesn't have that quality where Rob has where he's both suited to the very idiosyncratic take Reeves has and could easily have just been your standard issue classic Batman - its much easier to see him as the weird sad boy vampire prince of The Batman than, well, we've gotten a hint of Muschietti's Batman sensibilities.Yeah I'm very prepared for it to be Hoult. But I'll never NOT think it's an incredibly dull choice.
