I think this article is important enough to have it's own thread. Take some time to read it. It's quite thorough.

Here's How Breitbart And Milo Smuggled Nazi and White Nationalist Ideas Into The Mainstream

In August, after a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville ended in murder, Steve Bannon insisted that "there's no room in American society" for neo-Nazis, neo-Confederates, and the KKK.

But an explosive cache of documents obtained by BuzzFeed News proves that there was plenty of room for those voices on his website.

These documents chart the Breitbart alt-right universe. They reveal how the website — and, in particular, Yiannopoulos — links the Mercer family, the billionaires who fund Breitbart, to underpaid trolls who fill it with provocative content, and to extremists striving to create a white ethnostate.

They capture what Bannon calls his “killing machine” in action, as it dredges up the resentments of people around the world, sifts through these grievances for ideas and content, and propels them from the unsavory parts of the internet up to TrumpWorld, collecting advertisers’ checks all along the way.

And the cache of emails — some of the most newsworthy of which BuzzFeed News is now making public — expose the extent to which this machine depended on Yiannopoulos, who channeled voices both inside and outside the establishment into a clear narrative about the threat liberal discourse posed to America. The emails tell the story of Steve Bannon’s grand plan for Yiannopoulos, whom the Breitbart executive chairman transformed from a charismatic young editor into a conservative media star capable of magnetizing a new generation of reactionary anger. Often, the documents reveal, this anger came from a legion of secret sympathizers in Silicon Valley, Hollywood, academia, suburbia, and everywhere in between.

I still can't believe the ACLU's defense of Milo. Free speech, my butt. Nazis should NOT be allowed a platform. He was obviously one, and yet they decided to cape for him.

If you look at these guys, many of them had their seeds in GamerGate. Lots of women in the industry called them out and begged us not to ignore them, but everyone did. I hope these dip****s enjoy having the moral standing of Nazis. We helped empower a bunch of entitled crybaby racist white dudes.

"I am not a racist. I'm Jewish, and gay... there's no way I am a Nazi or have Nazi sympathies."

"Hey... Can I get that guy from STORMFRONT on my podcast?"

I suppose it's not very surprising really. But just confirms the nazis are back and working hard so we will need to work harder

These people are not real Nazis. Hells bells these are children who've read Mine Kumpf. They are lost and the only way to reach is through open and honest speech (like MLK) not violence.
And the KKK Nazis who march every year in some cities and never even registered as a blip on anyone's radar. Those idiots may wear their stupid sheets on the weekend in their back yard but on Monday morning they report to a job working for a minority.

Ah yes, Hitler’s lesser known other work, Mine Kumpf.

:hehe:

I was just about to comment on that, too.

Hitler was also a terrific dancer.

Did you just....modify "I have a black friend!" to "They have black bosses?" to justify your utterly invalid point, that the people marching with swastika armbands, Nazi Flags and Iron Cross tattoos are NOT Nazis? You know the same Nazis who brutally beat a black man during Charlottesville? Who drove a car into a crowd?

No. No, there is no talking possible. Not with people who espouse an ideology that lead to the murder of millions of people.

Here a simple flowchart to follow.

Ah yes, the rosy history of the civil rights movement where MLK was accepted nary a word from the largely accepting white populace.

They truly believe this **** in these sorts of websites. That MLK preached acceptance and he got it without a tinge of backlash all because he was 'polite', unlike today's 'entitled minorities', who do not even face racism, they believe, engaging in dreaded 'identity politics', aka civil rights, aka ignore that all politics is identity politics, aka ignore that the republican party has been the 'white' party for decades.

Yea I'm good with just punching a Nazi and or those who choose to associate with Nazis.

Racism and bigotry is wrong but violence is worse. If you physically assault a person only because of his believes, even if his believes are horrible, then you've lost the moral high ground.

The extremists that do punch nazis, they see anyone to the right of communism as a nazi. That's why most victims of Antifa and leftwing extremists tend to not be nazis but ordinary conservatives.

Violence begets violence. I don't want to see another Charlottesville. The only times violence is acceptable is when it's necassary to use to prevent other violence from happening.

Sorry but the world isn't a beautiful utopia, so no. There is no dialogue possible with Neo-Nazis. There is no losing any moral ground here. Punching a Nazi is NOTHING compared to the hateful, literally murderous views they espouse. And trying to talk things out, sure didn't work too good for Germany. Nazism is one of the most hateful, twisted, disgusting ideologies to ever exist. It led to the murders of millions, and Neo-Nazis would like the repeat that. Freeze peach, for damn Nazis? Any and all Nazis deserve one thing, and it sure is worse than a broken nose
A swift kick to the butt. Repeatedly that's what!
But hey, I'll settle for the punches.

The paradox of tolerance.

I saw a video just a few days ago about this guy who was part of a white supremacist group and has been for a large point of his life. He had a swastika tattoo on his chest, he was a proper nazi. He got a black woman as a probabation officer and she completely changed him. He got rid of the tattoo and all his nazi stuff in his home and now he sees her as a family member.

Nobody is born to hate. A person learn to hate. If you can learn to hate you can unlearn it. I have never heard of someone changing by getting punched in the face. Like I said before, violence leads to more violence. Hate leads to more hate. It might make you feel good but you're doing things worse.

Yeah, I am sure that there were "Good Nazis" during WWII too. Again what stopped that war again? I think it was a military fist to the face...Nah I think they just talked it out.

The nazis murdered millions of people. Violence was needed to stop violence, which goes back to a point I made before. Letting people die is obviously not the solution either.

...Are you...pulling my leg here? There's was an honest to God Nazi rally in the USA just a few months ago. They killed at that rally! In the streets. Alex James Field was an avowed Nazi, and fan of Adolf Hitler. Talking is not going to stop this. These people and their hateful ideas need a damn punch to the face. Have you read the comic I posted up there? It explains exactly why, words aren't enough to stop Nazism. The nazis murdered millions of people indeed. And these people worship them, and think like them.

Nazis and KKK should be labeled as terrorist organizations and any rallies or speaking engagements should be shut down and raided with the members held for interrogation and put on a watch list. Freedom of speech isn't built to protect conveying genocidal ideas that could hurt other individuals.

Yeah....about that.

Donald Trump’s administration is reportedly pushing to erase neo-Nazis and white supremacists from the US government’s counter-extremism programme by moving it to focus exclusively on Islamist terrorism.
