Brett Ratner saved the X-Men franchise?

Ratner is an alright director, he can frame a shot and get a get good performance from an actor. His films just tend to lack heart, I guess I would say. He's basically a hired gun, he comes in and will probably do whatever the studio asks him without much of a fight.

Ironically I think that he was more suited to something like Superman than X-Men.

I doubt a Superman movie would have been great under his watch but I think that it would have been a fun and inoffensive afair. Better than what we who didn't like the SR got to be sure.

i saw it in theaters, nothing was really any different from what i saw in the trailers and clips besides the trailer being actually better.
it was mega disappointment for me.
i recall sitting in the theaters wanting to leave, everything good was already shown in the trailers :cmad:

i loved singer's x-men.
If singer's first class movie is any good, maybe that'll be considered the first, x-men will be the sequel and x-men united will be the third... and x-men 3 will just be, i dunno...forgotten :)

just a suggestion

:awesome:
