Apparently Britney sang live tonight on Everytime because her track kept skipping. Also they say she added in a cover of You Oughta Know by Alanis Morrisette.

Ooh. I'll be looking for that video. Hopefully someone uploads that.

Someone uploaded a pic of her 'You Oughta Know' outfit:

Best version I found (for now) of her singing the song live.

best (sound) quality video I've been able to find so far of You Oughta Know

She did a good job! Seriously.

I so want this version of the song.

she did do well! : )

i wish she had sung that when i went to see The Circus! hell, i wish she had sang any one of her songs live without a backing track

Two pieces of news....first one:

Britney Spears has RE-RECORDED, REMIXED AND REVISED 18 of her most controversial and greatest-selling classics for her upcoming greatest hits double-disc: "Revised: The Singles Collection," due out November, 2009.

The haunted-themed singles collection includes new chilling promotional photos of Britney, bound by ropes and chains in an underwater abyss, fighting through the murky darkness to reach the surface.

The remixed tracks enjoy a new creative spin from producers DanjaHandz, Moby, Bloodshy & Avant, Red Zone, Darkchild, Max Martin, Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Penelope Magnet, Mark "Metro" Taylor, Jimmy Harry, Shep Soloman and T-Pain.

Songs will introduce new updated verses and breakdowns, with writing composed by Britney Spears, Nick Huntington, Michael McGroarty, Nicole Morier, Nate Hills, James Washington, Keri Hilson, Marcella Araica, Sean Garrett and more.

Disc 1:
1. Baby One More Time
2. Sometimes
3. Oops!... I Did It Again
4. Lucky
5. Stronger
6. I'm A Slave 4 U
7. Overprotected
8. I'm Not A Girl Not Yet A Woman
9. Do Somethin'
10. Nine 1 1 (Hidden)

Disc 2:
1. Me Against the Music
2. Toxic
3. Everytime (Acoustic)
4. Gimme More
5. Piece Of Me
6. Break The Ice
7. Womanizer
8. Circus
9. If U Seek Amy
10. Eclipse (Hidden)

Priced at $16.99, the 2-disc greatest hits album will coincide with Britney Spears' "Circus" tour, and features an exclusive iTunes promotional code where fans can download mixes of Britney's "Circus" tour songs.

so this will be another two new songs on top of the other four we can get with the regular Singles collection right?? plus the possible "Dirty Girl" track?

which by the way im hoping she wont put any more of that kind of music out for a while. i realize she is FAR away from her good girl virgin image at this point. but i think it just looks bad releasing a song like that so soon after If U Seek Amy. enough people already think she is a ****.

I really hope that is live and not raw unedited vocals like the tour version of Circus is. She sounded great if so. Also at 2:20 in this video, the track cuts out and you can briefly hear her live. She continues to sing underneath the track when it comes back on and even adds a little vocal "yeah".

awww i love her sooo much! honeslty id rather hear her REALLY sing live, even if she sucks! than always listen to the vocal track.

i dont care! i can listen to her cd any time i want to. and she has to realize that her fans, the people that stuck with her even after all that crazy business and KFed and all that love her no matter what and are obviously not expecting some kind of perfect vocal performance.

Yep she was definitely singing live. And she didn't sound bad at all really. I wonder why she lip syncs so much...

because of her dancing. Very very few performers can actually do the elaborate choreography and actually belt out music a the same time. I mean think about it.. you'd be huffing and puffing into the mic, and your notes would be next impossible to always get while your bending over and swinging around and jumping.

Exactly. :o:woot:

Beyonce? Madonna, Christina Aguilera? Rihanna? I'm not knocking Brit Brit but there is something to be said about somones live vocals even if they suck it's just much more honarable to do it live.

That's a pretty good rendition of 'You Oughta Know'.

It sounds live to me.

The "audio" your hearing is her backup singers. At least I think it is.

No when it goes completely dead during the second verse. I am on the fence whether I think it is live or not. I love Britney, don't get me wrong, but she never sounds like she does in that video live.

It could be her microphone. That happens right? :o

No I'm pretty sure it's her. I hope so because she really impressed me with that song and if she did it live that would just be the icing on the cake.

Yeah. I really hope the verses are live. The chorus definitely is being supported with the background singers and playback which is what a lot of singers do. That is ok with me.

Me too. She was hitting all the high notes even with the background singer and track anyway. I hope she starts singing more live.

I think she sounded best on SNL when she sang Everytime live. She can sing her own songs live pretty well but they never sound perfect and You Oughta Know sounded a little too good for a Britney-standard live performance.
