Ratings: Brooklyn Nine-Nine Hits 2-Year High in NBC Debut, Mom Hits Highs

3.56 million. A good start. Not surprised the numbers are as high as they are. Not only is it a season premiere on a new network, but a season premiere after getting cancelled. Combined with the amount of people pushing for its revival, there were bound to be big numbers for the Nine-Nine. While they probably won't be that high from week to week, that's a very good start. Given its airtime, I'm curious if this possibly pulled any viewers away from other 9 pm shows like The Orville for those, like me, who watch both.

I watched it live last night and had to tune into Orville a half hour late to catch up but I'll probably be recording B99 from here on out and watching the full hour of Orville.

I kept expecting Jake/Amy/Holt to stumble on some crime ring that they'd bust up, which has happened on other episodes. Perhaps the writers thought that would be too predictable.

So I'm guessing tonight might be either the last or the start of the last time we'll see Chelsea Peretti on the show for the season, guessing on how things ended here.

Yeah I figured she was gonna get written off for a while due to her kid.

I wonder, will they have a new version of the intro where Chelsea Peretti isn't there? It's probably not the biggest of deals if they didn't, but then again they've known about her departure for awhile and I imagine it wouldn't be too much to simply omit her title card or from that final scene when the squad is walking towards the screen.

Maybe she gets swapped out with either Hitchcock or Scully every other week?

Well, it took another Mike Schur show "Parks and Recreation" until season six before they added Jim O'Heir and Retta to the credits even though they had been there since season one.
