BvS Bryan Cranston: Luthor or Gordon?

Gordon all the way. I still haven't watched Breaking Bad, but from what I've heard, people are worried Cranston's Luthor would be nothing more than a richer version of Walter White.

Gordon.

Gordon, easily. EASILY.

Aside from being the long time fan favorite and being perfect for the role, Cranston and Affleck had great chemistry on Argo. I could easily picture the two, as Batman and Jim Gordon, working together.

Hell, throw in John Goodman as Harvey Bullock as well, and we've got a hit new Batman franchise on our hands. :awesome:

All kinds of wrong for Lex, all kinds of right for Jim.

I doubt very much either would happen, but I would think he'd be a great Gordon.

Bryan Cranston for Commissioner Jim Gordon .

If there was ever any candidate perfect for the role of Gordon and had fan support, it's Cranston.

I've just never seen him bring anything interesting or exciting to good guys. However with bad guys... I gotta say Lex. Don't see the appeal for Gordon beyond looks honestly.

Lex.

More screen time, more chance to show his range.

This guy knows.

Depends how long Lex is gonna be around for in my opinion. If Lex is going to be around for a long time, then Cranston for sure, other than that, Gordon.

Bryan hasn't brought anything special to good guys, 'cause the good guys he's played so far aren't anything special. Walter White is a meaty role (understatement) which can't be described as exactly good or bad. And he shines both as pre-Heisenberg and as post-Heisenberg, both as a ruthless drug lord and as a loving family man. And his pre-Heisenberg is a pitch perfect streetwise, world-weary Gordon. All it needs is a Gordon written in a way that deserves Bryan.

I would love to see Cranston as Lex but I'm gonna go with Gordon.

Gordon I guess...... would prefer William H Macy but if I get Dalton as Alfred give the rest of you guys what you want.

Have you seen him as Hal on Malcolm in the middle?

I pick Gordon. He's perfect. Beyond just looks. And not really the incarnation of Lex I want to see. I'm sure he'd be great, but I'd prefer a younger characterization.

Gordon ftw!

Not anything special in good guy roles? I don't know what you mean about special, but his acting is excellent.

I'd be fine with either, he may be a little older than I'd prefer for Lex, but he's a damn good actor, his Gordon would also be fantastic, but I have doubts that he's in the movie at all.

He's easily one of my favorite actors of all time but I just worry that his Lex would feel like Heisenberg-lite. Plus, he's so absolutely perfect for Gordon that it seems like a no-brainer.
