Not particularly excited about the "costumes" I'm seeing. :(

Well there's always the 70's X-Men I guess.

The 70s X-Men wear yellow and blue. They automatically win.

Yeah, hopefully the 70's X-men manage to have some great costumes in this one. Though I wouldn't mind if in an alternative future at the end (if they show one) that the original X-men are wearing more interesting costumes.

I'm not feeling this Kitty pic.

If this is her actual costume the entire movie (IF!) I wish they went with some color in the clothing (actual costume, even just a top that recalls their signature looks for the comics, with pants Similar to Storm's that Bryan tweeted) but still keeping the brown jackets as sort of a uniform-look for the characters.

I'm with the other people here, it's very underwhelming. Again saying this as if this is her actual costume. Crossing fingers it's not.

I don't think its her costume. just imagine her promotional shots with that outfit. Totally not appealing.

It's definitely not a costume. At least, not like the previous suits and not how we define it.

It's more street clothes than costume.

Then those are some pretty fugly street clothes.

So far the only reveal with a costume is Halle? Xavier's black peacoat (?), Iceman's shiny 3/4 long coat, Wolverine's and Kitty's brown leather jackets are all civvies?

I can buy that.

I think we can safely assume that Bryan Singer is not gonna tweet every X-Men costume that will appear in the movie. Even if he will reveal the cast's official costumes in the upcoming months, he wouldn't tweet them in order. One day, he'd tweet a picture of the set and one day he'd tweet a picture of something else.

what does using a brown jacket have to do with being the traveler? lol
Wow... I hope you're being sarcastic. Otherwise, you just did to psylockolossus exactly what JP did to you.

psylockolossus was just grouping the outfit schemes and coming up with a theory... just like you did!

When did they ever only wear their battle uniform in an X-Men movie? They've had civilian outfits too..

I think the mutants that we might not gonna see in civilian clothes are the villains. Some of the villains in the past wore the same thing in the entire movie (Sabretooth, Toad, Callisto, Juggernaut, Arclight).

Ellen looks great. The jacket is super dated looking. I don't think it represents the future AT ALL, but rather the 70s era. Trust me, I was living in the 70s and I remember. This must be her time-travel get-up to "fit in" with civilians of that decade.

Hm, interesting theory.

The brown leather outfits could be Logan/Kitty's outfit when they time travel or when they arrived at the 70s.

Wolverine leather jacket:CheckKitty leather jacket:Check
Rogue leather jacket: ?, yes please

For me as long as Rogue has a jacket and its part of her uniform, I'd be cool with it. It doesn't have to be leather, well I really don't wanna see leather fabric again as part of the X-Men's uniform/costume. They should use the same material/fabric that they used for the costumes of Prof X/Storm.

yeah, I guess so. A brown jacket to her will please me.

I really hope your right LS. You have a good intuition about things so I'll hope along right with you that it turns out to be the case.

I'm surprised of the underwhelment, I think Kitty's jacket looks damn cool! Once again dystopia mixed with futuristic, I dig the approach to the future clothes.

Ellen Page looks super-cute, but the jacket is... ehh. Weird sleeves and weird detailing. I hope it's not what she actually wears in the movie.

would be awesome to see a promo poster with Hugh and Ellen recreating that cover.

Its like a must with this movie. Fox better do it

I rather hope not. I know it's a classic and all but I'd like to think we moved on from the "big fierce man protecting a frightened lil' lady" kind of stuff.
