The Usual Suspects, X-Men, Apt Pupil, X2, Valkyrie and DoFP. That's a pretty good lineup to me.

He's one of those directors where you know he's talented, but he's also just..there.

Singer may have made a few missteps, but he's clearly very talented. And I think he's a pretty good choice for this.

And I wouldn't be suprised to see Chris Pratt in the lead. Maybe Ben Kingsley for Nemo?

Too old. Oscar Isaac would be a perfect Nemo.

What does "not leaving" mean though. Unless they are taking a hiatus, how would he direct the next movie? He could still be involved and not directing.

The way I took it is the next one is likely a few years away.

Yeah, same here. Apocalypse is supposed to wrap everything up but they'll eventually be more films, it's a given. The good thing about X-Men is that they can give the main series a rest (for the time being) and focus on other parts of the universe. We have the next Wolverine film in 2017, hopefully Deadpool does well enough to warrant more films, Josh Boone is deep in development on The New Mutants. X-Force should also be a top priority. That could/should be their next big X franchise.

Pratt doesn't need to be the lead in everything.

Its good that Singer is taking a break from the X-men. While he is a key part to those movies, just sticking to X-men wouldn't be the best for the franchise. Singer should try other things.

I will be curious to see how this comes out.
