Bryan Singer is directing. https://instagram.com/p/7vV5B_RD1D/
What a downgrade.
Singer is such a boring director, I... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Does that mean he is done with X-Men, at least for now?
Singer may have made a few missteps, but he's clearly very talented. And I think he's a pretty good choice for this.
And I wouldn't be suprised to see Chris Pratt in the lead. Maybe Ben Kingsley for Nemo?
What does "not leaving" mean though. Unless they are taking a hiatus, how would he direct the next movie? He could still be involved and not directing.No. He's still committed to X-Men.

bryanjaysingerIt's my 50th birthday (ouch), and I just put the finishing touches on the script for my next film. A story I've wanted to retell since childhood. I promise this will be an epic and emotional adventure for all ages! An adventure very dear to my heart. Not abandoning the #xmen universe. Very excited about #xmenapocalypse and beyond. #julesverne #20000leaguesunderthesea #nemo
He just finished the script for this:

The way I took it is the next one is likely a few years away.
Yeah, same here. Apocalypse is supposed to wrap everything up but they'll eventually be more films, it's a given. The good thing about X-Men is that they can give the main series a rest (for the time being) and focus on other parts of the universe. We have the next Wolverine film in 2017, hopefully Deadpool does well enough to warrant more films, Josh Boone is deep in development on The New Mutants. X-Force should also be a top priority. That could/should be their next big X franchise.
