Plenty of people survived. Gunn's an evil vampire doing the overplayed "I was a good sidekick and then one bad thing happened to me, so now I hate everyone I ever used to associate with" plot; Wesley's back as a ghost being manipulated by Wolfram and Hart; Illyria's manifesting Fred at random times for some unknown reason; Spike stuck with Illyria when she became lord of part of LA and is now back with the rest of the group; Connor, Gwen, and Nina formed their own demon-hunting crew to protect people while Angel went off on his own; Lorne became lord of some suburb and turned it into a happy sanctuary; and Groo just returned.

Is/Will Dawn ever get shrunk back to normal size?

Theres also Gwen, The she-werewolf girl, lorne, gru, connor, and even (i believe) the girl who runs the homeless kids shelters, and even the blonde cop from the first few seasons returns.

They all pretty much survived but L.A. has gone to hell literally. I think like a Hell Dimension.

Wesley features in it as he in contractually bound to the Senior partners so appears as a ghost I guess a la Liliah.

Spike and Illyria have survived as has Angel and Gunn in one form or another....I won't spoil it but its well worth reading just to see what the official continuation is

I would like to see a slip and switch between angel and angelus. It would be nice if angel realised after all this time, that he had purposely been stopping or pro-longing this battle on earth by having a soul and it was angelus who needed to be turned.

or it would be funny if at the end of everything, it was angelus who was made human, rather than angel.

a dual identity entity, a vampire monster with a soul gone bad fighting for evil and a monstrous human with no heart who's required by the forces of good. Perfect symmetry.

What would be the point? Angelus would just go get someone to sire him again, its pointless. It would be a big kick in the nuts to the fans, me personally.

The point would highlight that angel is incapable of being redeemed and his quest for forgiveness is a self drawn one rather than a destined one.

the fruits of his labour would be rewarded to his angelus entity. a big kick in the teeth.

i don't think angelus actually minds about being a vampire or not, for him it's all about the art of manipulation and the kill. I wouldn't see him wanting to become a vampire again...

Isn't Angelus kind of inherently vampiric, though? I don't really see Angel reverting to Angelus without being a vampire. He'd lack a lot of the carnal instincts associated with Angelus, and for all of his moral duplicity, Angel's never really exhibited much of the sadistic bent that Angelus had. It'd be like a total character shift without the actual reasoning behind the shift that Angelus' soullessness provides.

Not interested. I have yet to find an MMO that sounds remotely interesting to me since I actually played a couple. They seem to be uniformly boring.

It's nice that Buffy's still got the kind of staying power to get projects like this made half a decade after its cancellation, though.

Does anyone else think that an MMO is just about the worst type of game this could be? The bast thing about Buffy/ Angel is the dialogue and characterization. MMO's are the one genre where story and cutscenes/ dialogue are thrown in the backseat in favor of gameplay.


In an unrelated note, for anyone interested I was at Barnes & Noble today and saw that they have a hardcover version of the first few issues of After The Fall. It was 25 bucks there.

Not really. It's kinda happenstancely explained. Angel's not quite as good as the Buffy comic. Shame since it was the other way with the actual TV shows.
