Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Animated Series

I know. It pisses me off. It would've been great.

There's an old saying, "Never say never".

I say it would be totally awsome if it were to happen. I'm not going to hold my breath, but I wouldn't consider the project dead and buried just yet. Anything can happen in the next couple of years. The head of 20th Century Fox could drop dead of a heart attack and be replaced by someone with more intelligence and vision. You never know.

Joss Whedon seems to have such terrible luck with TV shows.

From what i read the tv series would begin as episode 7 and a half and would then use new stories and moments already used and evolve into other seasons, so it would probably feature spike, it´s really bad that it never happened, but we don´t know, if a channel has interest in it then it could happen some day.
I read season 8 but i would like a new tv series too, or the spike film that joss already planned to do to take place after season 8 and the future season 9 and explain events from fray, it would better than to see those horrible twilight movies.

Um... wow. This news is a few years old. I heard that they recorded the audio and animated a short demo segment, but no one wanted to pick the show up to air on TV. There were rumors of a direct to video episode being made, but nothing ever came of that.

This was all half a decade ago. Nothing's coming.

a similar thing with Alias...they had an animated series planned for the two years Sydney was "missing"

but yea, its been too long at this point

This sucks that they aren't doing the cartoon because I always thought Buffy the Vampire Slayer had it's golden age during Seasons 1 , 2, and 3. After that it started getting stale.

thats ********....Fox kept Dollhouse on the same timeslot and marketed the **** out of it...blame yourselves for not watching it live

Go **** yourself and your Dollhouse, I'm not talking about that show, it was lame. I'm talking about the little bull**** game they played with Firefly.

that happens with a lot of shows....not just things on Fox....

plus Im starting to like Castle a lot more.....and its lasted 3 seasons

you hate it because Fillion found success on a grown up show?? because that tends to be the attitude of a lot of people who are fans of him but don't like the show

That and I've had quite enough of police procedurals. :o

Honestly, the only current work from the Firefly cast that I enjoy is Adam Baldwin on Chuck. V got worse with every passing episode. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles got cancelled and The Cape looks like its pretty much bred for cancellation. Ron Glass just needs to get his ass on a new show, cause that dudes made of win.

Hate Chuck....hope it gets the ax when Comcast takes over and there's a purge, Comcast is going to clearcut when they take over NBC

Chuck is 1000 times the show Castle will ever be. :o

I oughta pull down your pants and spank your ass raw.

Arrested Development. Now there's a real show. That Fox also ****ed over. :o

Im with you on that....how do you win close to 20 Emmys over the course of your series and still get cancelled??

David Cross summed it up pretty well...
I got an idea for what you can do. Why dont you ****ing fire your complete marketing team, get a new one in there that knows how to market a show that won five mother ****ing Emmys, Golden Globes, SAG Awards, WGA Awards, DGA Awards, Producers Guild Awards, Critics Top 10 lists. You know if you cant market that kind of show and get better ratings, then maybe the problem doesn't lie here, maybe it lies with marketing.
AD got Fox a ****load of awards, and Fox proceeded to do.... absolutely nothing.

I think the problem was no one could figure out HOW to market it, its a tough show to explain in a short amount of time

Its Always Sunny just shows clips and that seems to work OK, but its also FX so the standards are lower

Yeah, but the humor in AD and It's Always Sunny are like apples and oranges.

Not to mention that FOX cancelled Wonderfalls, Dark Angel, so many great shows :(

its all dysfunction

I'm actually surprised now that I remember that AD went further that IASIP in one respect: Twin incest. In the finale, Lindsay was ready to jump Michael's bones after she found out she wasn't biologically his sister. Michael's only reason for not going for it? He's not into older women.... Dennis and Dee would never do that ****.

And then of course, there was Justine Bateman's guest role. Now that was sick.
