Burnout Paradise - Driving to pefection

Finally got my Burnout License, but I need to win all 120 events to get Elite and that task sounds very daunting. For those who have Elite License, how hard is it? I esp. hate the Stunt events and having to complete all the Stunts in order to get Elite doesn't sound like fun to me. :(

Getting to the Elite was not that hard at all. Once you get a good stunt route, the stunt runs are a piece of cake. Like I said in the post above, watch this video and just try to copy it.

Use the Inferno Van for the Marked Man and Road Rage. It's slow, but strong.

All I have left to do are the Showtime events on more than half of the streets. Now that is daunting to me. Showtime isn't hard, it just takes a while and is extremely tedious. I did all the Road Rule times for each street, this is all that's standing in my way.

Thanks. Is the video only for iTune or can I view it in another format?

Okay I caved and got the game. Its awesome, but I need to know a few things.

I got the Ultimate Box, so how do I go about handeling new content?

How long does it take to get used to it? Its a total mind f--- right now.

Can I change accelerator to X?

Can I restart races yet?

Can I get a waypoint?

I just bought it as well. I needed another $15 to get an order on Newegg up to $250 to qualify for their 90-day no payment offer and Burnout: Paradise was $20. I've been missing BP since I sent it back to Gamefly a little while ago, so I figured "why not?" Looking forward to trying out the new DLC.

Do you have 360 or PS3? For 360, you can look for Burnout Paradise in the Marketplace, and download 1.6 patch.

It took me awhile; when I first got the game I crashed alot because I couldn't really avoid the tail lights from non-racing cars while going 200MPH. Now I have Burnout License, but restart option helps alot.

Can I change accelerator to X?

Not sure.

Can I restart races yet?

The restart option is with the 1.6 patch.

Can I get a waypoint?

I don't think there's waypoint in this game.

-All the content is already in there. The menu system is changed up so you select everything before you start the game, ie start a parter, enter paradise, Paradise cars, Paradise bikes, you click it all before you enter the game. All the other updates are built into the actual game and you won't notice a difference. The Ultimate box is everything released up until now, so you're all good.

-Burnout is a tough game to get used to , it's very fast. But once you do it's a load of fun.

-I do not know if you can change button layout.

-Yes, click right on the D-pad during a race, then click right on Restart Event. After a race, click right on the D-pad, scroll down to Restart Last Event, click right, etc..

- No waypoints. The game gives you hints as you race that resemble a way point. Your blinker and the street sign at the top of the screen flash when you should to turn during a race.

The Legendary Cars pack is coming out this thursday.

This is one of the DLC that I'll probably get. But between this and The Lost for GTA4, I'll need to purchase alot more pts for them. I'd like to know if the legendary cars are only available for Elite License, because if that's the case I'll probably hold off purchasing it until I get that license.

I don't think any car is only drivable with an Elite License, that'd be silly since most people wouldn't bother with getting the Elite. Especially since you have to buy this, I doubt they'll limit it.

The Legendary Cars will be available separately, or all together with a discount. I'm definitely getting this and Big Surf Island. I don't know about the other announced packs.

I'd like to hear more about the Big Surf Island before I decide whether to buy it or not.

I think it looks awesome. And this is old footage, so who knows what else they've added.

$1.99 for each car comes up to $7.96 for all four, so if $7.99 is the 'discount' price for buying all of them together, it's not a discount at all...

I see what's amiss here. The Jansen 88 Special is 3.99, all the others are 1.99. I guess hover mode costs extra :o. So now it is a discount.

I got the Legendary Cars DLC and I'm pleasantly surprised to find out that you can play any of them from the get-go, so I'm pumped about that. I also glad to see a DLC that gives you all the cars from the game, although it costs 400 pts but I'm too lazy to play bikes, so I might do it since I still have about 700 pts left. Unfortunately, Street Fighter IV is currently occupying my time, so I'll try the cars some other time.

You're going to spend 400 points to unlock 2 bikes?

I will probably take a long time getting around to doing the bike challenges, they just don't interest me.

I don't know, the bikes just don't interest me.

Maybe I'll save my points for the Island DLC.
