Burnout Paradise - Driving to pefection

Has anyone tried all the Legendary cars yet? The Cavalry Bootlegger (General Lee offshoot) seems to have the least impressive stat among the 4, so I'm wondering why it is a Legendary car.

It's legendary because it's mimicking a famous car, that's all that "legendary" means, but I agree it is the least impressive of the bunch.

I was so excited to use the Delorean that I bought it straight away without even realizing I could buy all the cars in one pack at a discount price... Oh well another time I guess

Jansen 88 is awesome, and I love to make it levitate and activate its afterburner, but it's not that great as a racing car it seems. Also, does anyone know how to make the Nighthawk have that KITT light-scan effect?

When you boost, the lights go off.

Today we're releasing Toys into Paradise City. They'll be available as soon as your local Sony and Microsoft stores update.

We're sure that everyone fondly remembers playing with Toy cars when they were kids; some of us here actually still do! With those memories in mind, we've created the Burnout Paradise Toys. This is where you get to see some of the fan favourite Burnout Paradise cars as you've never imagined them.

If you want to see just how great they look, head to your nearest Junkyard and select Toy Vehicles. From here you can look around each one of them. It's easy to then go to the in-game Burnout Store to make a purchase.

You'll find that there are a number of different offerings with the Toys, so here we'll detail the 3 main collections.

Burnout Paradise Toy Collection
$12.99 / €12.99 / £9.99 / 1000 MS
This collection gets you ALL 9 Toy Vehicles. That's the 8 cars and the amazing Toy Nakamura Firehawk motorcycle. This represents the best possible value for you, and it's the only collection that has the Toy Firehawk. If you love the Toys as much as we do, then this is collection that you want!

Burnout Paradise Toys Collection 1
$5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 / 480 MS
This smaller collection gets you Toy versions of the Hunter Cavalry, Hunter Manhattan, Krieger WTR and the Jansen P12.

Burnout Paradise Toy Collection 2
$5.99 / €5.99 / £4.99 / 480 MS
The counterpart for Toy Collection 1, this gets you the Toy Takedown 4x4, Inferno Van, GT Concept and Hunter Citizen.

Alternatively you can purchase each of the vehicles individually, although the collections listed are the best value available to you.

If you want more information and to make a purchase, it's really very simple. Head to the Burnout Store, select the collection that you want and select Buy Now! Once the checkout is complete and your download has installed, your Toys are there to play with.

On another note, you can view the cars within the game right now but they're not available for purchase yet.

While it was great to get alot of free content last year, Im finding the prices of the new DLC to be ridiculous. EA should really consider lowering these prices

The last one wasn't terrible, and I guess considering, this one isn't that bad for 9 cars. I wonder what the island will cost.

the game costs $20 so I cant imagine it would be more than that. Im thinking $15

The Party pack is the only thing thus far that I think was overpriced.

Anyone else having that problem with the GT Nighthawk trophy/achievement? It wont unlock. It says on Criterions website that there trying to fix it.

I think I need to buy this. Now.

Just one question...because I've never bought through PSN....but how would I go about buying the Legendary Car pack through PSN?

credit card?

A brand new way to play Burnout Paradise online is coming this Thursday, and Criterion Games has revealed the price you have to pay for getting mixed up with the Cops & Robbers scene.

The Burnout Paradise Cops & Robbers pack introduces a ton of new police-themed makeovers for your favorite Paradise City rides, along with a brand-new online mode that pits criminals and the authorities against each other in a tug-of-war with a load of stolen gold. How much is all of this going to run? $9.99 or 800 Microsoft points, with Europe paying €9.99 and the UK forking over £7.99.

Seems like a reasonable price to me, though I tend to prefer simply driving around and crashing into things randomly to any sort of organized play. So who plans on picking up the pack?

This sounds like alot of fun. I tried the online play, but I dislike it because I always faceoff against people who have everything unlocked (I only have Burnout license, and I don't want to pay for DLC that unlocks everything). I think this will at least make things interesting instead of just crashing into things, but at 800 MS I think it's a bit steep, and the Island patch may be more worthwhile to buy.

Burnout Paradise was one of my favorite games of all time, and I'm not even a racing game fan. I will definitely grab the remastered version

Burnout paradise was probably the best open world racing game I've ever played, loved the crap out of it. I've been dying for a good racing game to get into (not really into sim racing games) so I'm glad this is getting the remaster treatment.
