From a Canadian ad that was pulled. No idea yet of platforms, but I would guess PS4 and Xbox One based on how BLOPS III was handled on last gen and all and Activision continues the trend of saying **** off to PC for whatever reason. As the ad says, buying the legacy edition will net you a remaster of COD4.

The rumor is that this takes place far in the future and in space, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet. Rumors going around that the official unveil is coming next week. There will be a $50 season pass. No, that's not in the ad, but it's true. I see the future!

I believe so, but if it's not I'll edit and/or close the thread properly when the official reveal comes if it ends up a fake. It matches up pretty much perfectly with all the rumors beforehand, so I see no reason to doubt it at this point, but I don't know what store the ad actually originated from.

CoD: Infinite high pitched kids screaming bad words at you about your mother. :o

So it's basically COD again.

Yes, the name of the game is Call of Duty

Basically the exact same game. Futuristic soldier on the run that gets betrayed. :o

Depending how "remastered" Modern Warfare is as well as what else is coming out in November, I may just buy it for MW alone.

Call of Duty IN SPACE! Looks SWEET!

So I was really unimpressed with the first minute or so. It looked exactly like Black Ops 3 to me. Then the space battles started, and there was zero-G stuff, and exploring planets. I thought that was neat-o. Then MW showed up... yeah, I may be buying this. Yeah... I am a sheep.

Highlight for me was the COD4 at the end. :o

Im no longer a fan of the series, nor do I play them, but I am curious for those who have enjoyed this series, are you guys cool with it going this far into the future? I mean i know it seems like its been heading there, but this almost seems like its a different series entirely. Curious as to how CoD fans feel about this setting.

this almost seems like its a different series entirely.

I want to address this specifically.

I played every game in the series from the original on PC up until Black Ops II. I thought BLOPS II was a fine game, but I was just so tired of the series. With the first BLOPS as the one exception, it just seemed like I played each new entry considerably less than the previous one. So I decided to take a long break from it. I skipped Ghosts, Advanced Warfare, and BLOPS III.

However a couple of months ago I actually bought AW because through word of mouth I had been given the impression that it was "the good one" of the three current gen games. I was actually very impressed by the campaign. Definitely one of my top five in the series. I was very worried about the multiplayer though. I had been out of the game so long that I missed all the advanced movement systems and whatnot that had been implemented since I stopped playing. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to hang anymore and I would just creamed. Turns out, nah. My very first game I went like 18/3. No matter what changes they make to it no matter how much crazy sci-fi **** they want to throw in, Call of Duty is still Call of Duty.

I don't know yet if I want to play Infinite Warfare or not, but if I did I wouldn't worry about it feeling or playing any different.

The thing that jumped out to me about the first bit of the trailer is how bright it looked compared to the last few entries as opposed to the muted colors that the series has been employing for the last decade. The latter part of the trailer seemed more in line with the norm, though.

I dig it. I don't care much about boring ass WWII or even modern shooters that much, so I love the futuristic stuff. Only thing that makes me kind of tepid about it all is the fact that IW's last game was pretty meh. But they've had a longer cycle this time around, so maybe it'll be solid.

I kinda wish they had used that Space Warfare trademark they made a few years back

Space Warfare doesn't have the same ring as Infinite Warfare.

hmmm.......trailer looks interesting, especially the space combat.

also, does it seem like it will feature a female protag this time?

There's a female in there, but I don't see any indication that she will be the protag. It'll probably either be like BLOPS III were you create your own character or back to the usual COD experience were you switch various characters through the story, one of which could be that woman.

^ I see. hope you can at least choose like in BLOPS III.

I liked the trailer.

The last one I played was Modern Warfare 3 then I got sick of it coming out every year and not looking so different. This one might bring me back. The space stuff looks quite fun.

I took a break from the franchise with Ghosts (mostly, I played a little but not much) and AW. Coming back for BLOPS III really helped to not fatigue me on the franchise, and it's a good reminder of how fun the games are.

Black Ops 3 is fun to play, but I hate how "flashy" the multiplayer has become. Everyone is decked out in neon colors, with custom taunts at the end of matches and whatnot. Just doesn't feel right to me, tonally. I still enjoy playing, but that kinda stuff feels out of place.

Because that worked so well, and no - I'm not talking about female protagonist, but this "Pick Hair Color and Face" mediocre way they handled the protagonist in BO3. A lifeless and emotionless 3D model with zero charisma, not much different from most ones from the past, but this was just the bottom of the bottom.

COD really needs to improve their PCs, or the writing overall.
