Call of Duty: Black Ops 3

From what I saw it my day of renting it, there's definitely plenty of bang for your buck. Call of Duty is always filled with plenty of varied content.

It's decent value to me. I enjoy the campaigns, the co-op modes and like playing multiplayer to first prestige.

Yeah, but I've learned to sort of pick and chose my years. Like most likely I won't get next year's game, because I'll still probably be popping in BLOPS here and there, and IW's last game wasn't too great overall (though I don't hate as much as others do). I never did get around to playing Advanced Warfare.

Damn this is my favourite CoD online in some time. There are a few actually decent maps this time out, including one that invokes W@W memories. The weapons are nice and it even has a good pistol this time, just wish there was a magnum of some kind, something meaty to dispatch LEET players with.

Its punishing at first but it gets better the more levels you progress and stuff you unlock. The different classes online really do make things more interesting this time and some of the custom looking gear is great and BA.

Yeah, I'm having a lot of fun with online play. I normally have a pretty pitiful kill/death ratio in past games, but I'm doing quite well with this game. Played a few rounds last night, and I was within the top 3 score earners and got the Final Kill Cam 4 matches in a row, which was sweet. I turned it off after that - there was no way I was going to keep that streak up for the rest of the night.

You should try out the Gorgon LMG. I don't really use LMGs, but this gun is extremely powerful, and I'm sure it'll get a huge nerf in 3-4 weeks from now.

Love the new mode Safeguard multiplayer mode. Makes a nice change to things and feels different to other game types, using stealth and tactics is really an option unlike the usual run n shoot. Works better on some maps than others but is still a welcome freshness to the CoD world which can feel a little same-ol same-ol sometimes.

From my small experience in multiplayer, BLOPS is mostly an smg game, and slower than AW. I'm still having problems with BLOPS because of how much the maneuverability is straight up gone.

Now remember, for the Hero challenges to unlock, you have to complete all other challenges for ALL the specialists. Completing them for one specialist won't unlock the Hero challenges.

Oh, Gold Armor. You get that when you unlock all of the Specialists challenges. When you're done with all of them, that last box will unlock. It'll definitely take some time to get.

It's kinda like diamond camo, in that you have to get all of your guns in a class to gold, in order to unlock diamond.

Hardcore kill confirmed is so good. And a ton of points. Pretty much every kill is a one shot kill. That's a 100 point medal per kill. So a game with 30 kills is 3000 points! I hit 45 and 49 kills in 2 games last night.

Finally finished the campaign. First off, last level: beyond awful. Just a bunch of random waves of randomly respawning enemies one after another, blah. Overall, I thought the story was pretty decent. The characters themselves were never really fleshed out, and unless I missed something, I don't think there was any real ties to the last BLOPS games outside the [blackout]Nova 6[/blackout], but even that really didn't seem to serve any major purpose.

The super trippy nature the narrative took from mission 8 onwards I dug. A lot of people seemed to really dislike the disconnected nature of that, but I liked it. Not sure how I feel about the big twist the briefings tell you, though.

I traded in Xenoblade Chronicles X and picked this up yesterday. After getting COD fatigue from the last few titles I'm pleasantly surprised with Blops 3. I love all the gameplay tweaks they've done and the graphics are amazing.
