Call or Duty 3 best PS2 game ever?

Wow, I got this at Best Buy for $32 bucks. I've gotta tell you I wasn't expecting anything more than an average shooter. But I was wrong, way wrong. There's dozens of different guns to use, and it's got a great multiplayer mode.
Everyone with a PS2 or PS3 should pick this one up.

It was also on the Xbox 360, though, so you can't really say it's a "PS2 shooter". And personally, Resistance is okay but I doubt the multiplayer is near as exciting as COD3's.

I have my extreme doubts about 40 player multiplayer. Unless the multiplayer maps are absolutely huge, that many players would become boring for the least experienced 20 or so players. Or frustrating.

that's all fine and well, but you've never played it, so you're opinion on the subject is null and void.

and no one review i've seen has had a single issue with the multiplayer, not the 40 people, not map-size, not anything... just fyi.
