Cameron Bright is Leech!!

Well, it's clear that mystique finds out leech is the source based on her direct quote from the trailer.

I'll bet the gov't essentially kidnaps him from the morlocks to begin with, and they are pissed. Magneto finds out about leech and who he is with. Once he realizes that this group of mutants could be helpful, he askes them to join. Because of their previous animosity over their oppression by the humans, and the fact that the humans kidnapped leech, and that magneto could get him freed, it makes all too much sense for them to join his army.

As for the x men finding out, someone probably hears something about it on the news and beast goes to kavita seeking to find out if it works (just like comics) and we get the scene where beast is reaching forward and changing.
So, what's Leech's involvement with the X-Men? Where (chronologically) does that scene take place when he's hugging Storm?

Why would Kavita have any sympathy for Beast? Doens't she work for Worthington labs??? Isn't she in the scene where she is about to inject Angel with the cure?

I don't know about sympathy. But, she views mutation as a disease, so I doubt she would hate him. She would think he needs to be cured of said disease. In the gifted storyline that the cure plot is based on, beast goes to whatever lab she works at. It's clear they know each other from something in the past. She assumes he is there to destroy her work, but he is actually there to see if it really works and how.

And yes, she does work for the lab that maked the cure and is a firm believer in it. the scene with angel, I assume that his dad who owns the lab has pressured him into being a test subject and he breaks free because he is there against his will.

I have just kinda figured that may be the end of the movie. He was living with the morlocks underground before, the x men help him out and he sees the trouble his previous community causes and gets invited to attend and live at xavier's school. Kind of a happy ending for the kid. He likely has to go into hiding during the war for various reasons.

Hmmm..It's hard to determine..Storm is wearing the same clothes as she does when she's talking to Xavier and looking at Wolverine in the trailer...It might be near the end of the 1st act somewhere...

Oh, damn. And here I was, thinking that was the end of the movie. Nicely spotted.

Your avy is awesome. Its from Equilibrium. Christian Bale busting through the door with his crazy gun-fu!

Such a good movie...
I rented it, watched it and switched to another DVD. Wrong? :p

Yea that scene where Leech is running to Storm is deffinately at the beginning. Leech may even die in this movie???

I don't know, I guess it was the beginning that turned me off. It kind of dragged on. Or maybe I was just too impatient. ;)

So you mean you didn't like it, yet you didn't WATCH the whole thing?

:( :(

Watch it..:p

Fine. But I saw bits and bits of the ending, though, on television. I liked the fights. Didn't Bale cut off a guy's head?

I doubt it's at the beginning. Beast is already at the X-mansion in that scene (we know this due to some picture progression with costume continuity), and on top of that, it's already been confirmed that there are no action sequences inside the mansion. So, considering that Leech is running TO Storm, in other words, he's probably joining the school instead of leaving it, I highly doubt that someone from Worthington Labs is going to come in, easily, get past the highly telepathic Professor X without being seen, and be able to peacefully steal Leech away at his own will to be used as a cure for mutancy.

It just doesn't make sense.

EDIT: Oh, and Lex... he cut a guy's face off. not the whole head, heh. Too bad, too... that was probably one of the most anticlimactic fight scenes I've ever witnessed. They can spar for a good 10 minutes, but when it comes to real sword fights, Bale can just slice his face off in a split second.

^Thanks. I'll have to rent it again.

Yeah, it's a great movie, all except for that scene, imo. Turning a guy's face into a slice of deli meat that quickly was just far too easy :/

Yeah. Isn't Sean Bean in this movie, too? ;)

Yeah, haven't seen the movie in years though so I don't really remember his part.

Cameron has small write-up in this week's EW (American Idol cover). Only mention of X3 is that both the good guys and bad guys fight over him.

EW? Entertainment Weekly? And thanks, LMason. Both of the X-Men and the Brotherhood are fighting over Leech? Wow, that's a pretty big spoiler to give out.

Well, we already knew it really. We know both Kitty and Juggernaut want Leech for example.

Yeah..didn't actually think of it like that; the whole Magneto's army is fighting X-Men over Leech. I wonder if Magneto wants to get to Leech and then kill him. Mmm

I don't see why he'd kill him. The company likely don't need Leech to make the cure by the end of the film. They'll have learned howe to make it independant of Leech.

Though perhaps they do need Leech, and Magneto wants to make sure the government cannot use him to make the cure.

On the new clip, Wolverine says something like "We draw the line here". Perhaps he's refering to not letting the Brotherhood advance to get Leech.

Didn't IGN say that Magneto wanted Leech to get of rid of the cure and somehow use Leech to hurt humanity?

I can't imagine how they'd use Leech to hurt humanity, but I'm still impressed at what a perfect fit Leech is into the cure storyline... it makes so much sense that'd HE'd be the source of the cure. I like it

Here's where got the above from.

Magneto, of course, wants to use the boy for his own evil purposes. (You know, like subjugating mankind and any mutant who opposes him. That sort of thing.) His reign of fear and destruction is such that, now, every mutant must ask themselves: Will you stand for the good of mankind?
http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/700/700473p1.html

And I don't get why the X-Men would be defending him in the war. Shouldn't they save Leech from the government in the first place? Cos when in the trailers, Leech came running up to Storm. That was Act 1, I think, jugding from the clothes. So, did Leech volunteer and then go to the government? Or was he kidnapped?
