Cameron's "Avatar"

Linda Hamilton wont work with him again .

Why? :(

What I like about cameron is he doesn't put up with **** from prima donna actors like most directors would...you're either on board, or over board.

It's why just about every film he's made is brilliant (with an exception or two but no ones perfect)

Linda Hamilton wont work with him again and he also kinda finished the series. There was no need for T3.

I remember that Linda Hamilton said that she didn't want to make another Terminator unless Cameron was involved.

The only reason he made two Terminator-movies was because T2 was the movie he originally wanted to make but the technology wasn't available back in 1984

i'm sure she said that BEFORE he had an affair, as you may know, he loved her character. So without her, i'm guessing he thought there was no point in making another one. He told Arnold to ask for a s**tload of money to make T3 and he did.

James Cameron use to own the rights to The Terminator. When he and Linda divorced, she asked the Judge if he would grant her the rights to the Terminator franchise which he did. Once she gained the rights she sold them for millions upon millions to another film company, which created T3.

So you can all thank Linda Hamilton for T3.

Oh right...

Was that before he hit the jackpot with Titanic?

Link
Cause i was under the impression that Carolco owned the Terminator rights After the company went bankrupt with ( i think) Showgirls , it took a few years until Andrew Vajna bought the rest of the rights and made T3 under his new production company.

I got that info from wiki which also says that former Carolco Pictures owners, Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna, were the ones who bought the rights from Linda.

Possible first look at The navi aliens

From joblo.com

It's another two whole years before James Cameron's $200 million sci-fi opus AVATAR hits theaters (in 3-D!), and WETA is working away on the special effects extravaganza. It'll probably be a long while before we see anything official, but... A JoBlo superspy says this is the first murky glimpse at what could be an alien life form in the flick. It's probably an early test or initial FX stages, but there seems to be some kind of TRON-ish phosphorescent dude with a tail, chillin' in some foliage. Not the clearest of images, but we take what we can get!
I'm a colossal Cameron fan, but desperately trying to avoid too much info on the flick (no small feat, writing for a movie website). Here's the synopsis for AVATAR: "In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a humanoid race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture."
Thanks again to the daring inside agent!

I hadn't heard much about this movie before I stumbled onto this thread, but it sounds fantastic. I can't wait for it to come out.

I doubt thatll be the final look. Not really digging it, when I read the scriptment I kind of envisioned something a little cuter really.

Does look very Predator-ish, after seeing that pic and then reading the plot summary:

"In the future, Jake, a paraplegic war veteran, is brought to another planet, Pandora, which is inhabited by the Na'vi, a alien race with their own language and culture. Those from Earth find themselves at odds with each other and the local culture"

It kind of sounds like a cross between planet of the apes and the plot of the predator 3 fan script that went around (with Dutch being trapped on a planet of Predators).
