Holy ****, I cannot wait for the HD version. What a great trailer.

1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds.

10 million dollars for a pound of that stuff. Sounds like a tempting business offer for anyone who operates a mining company.

So they are fighting over stones that are worth 20 milion? Thats lame.

Basically, mankind has depleted future Earth. That's why humans are traveling to other planets in search of new resources. The Na'vi are fighting for their land which their being forced off of, by the humans.

This looks astonishing, and while its no surprise as JC is my favourite director, I still cant believe how good this looks, I missed a few things because of the quality, but the story and every just feels amazing to me.

I want to see it in good quality! This is one of the best trailers released this year in my opinion.

Goddamn that was amazing. MUCH better than the first trailer.

Not sold on the story... I mean we run into this wicked alien race and the only thing we can think of is robbing their natural resources? I get that this is Sci Fi and humans are evil but I just figured we'd be better than that by now.

Well, it's not like the story for The Terminator doesn't sound stupid, a robot timetravels to kill a woman, but it was written and pulled off in an incredible way. A lot of things in Aliens has been ripped off by subsequent films, but that doesn't diminish the power of that movie. I'm certain Avatar will be likewise written and directed in a way that you won't think, "****, I know what's gonna happen next *yawn*" New trailer is badass, just wait for the HD version or 3D version in cinemas :D

The last 195,000 years would disagree with you.

Also, if you followed the film, then you'd know that RDA's -- the mining company -- main goal is to take Pandora's resources since the earth has gone to ****.

Hmm, interesting. I don't know if we'll be able to travel in space in that time to other worlds but it's an interesting time period.

well scientist are trying to figure out Wormholes in space, basically cut the time to go to point A and point B

I only saw bootlegged version of trailer. My favorite trailer ever!

Recourse that they are after powers economy an Earth,it is oil of future. Without it whole human race will face very bad times. So it is not really humans are evil plot.

Depends how you look at it. We're coming onto their ground, in their world. We're taking away what they have. Which is ironic since maybe the Na'vi' don't need what the humans need.

How so? Without getting too spoilery, but if expensive rocks are going to bring humanity back from the depths... alrighty then... I can at least understand it if humans needed a planet to colonize or something. Maybe that's the case. It would be better than, "Time to get rich".

And on the space travel thing, scientists have estimated it's going to take at least another 500 years before we are even close to being capable of getting to Alpha Centauri, so I am suprised Cameron is off with the timeline. Even with fushion, it's not a practical trip.
