Also if the sequel was to take place on Polyphemis, it will be interesting to see what the surface looks like since from the pictures of Pandora posted several pages back, it looks like a Purple, Jupiter-like Planet.

Cameron has always wanted AVATAR to be like Star Wars or LOTR in a sense
after seeing that 15 mins, i would love to see him to expand this story

Cameron has said that Avatar is a combination of evey sci-fi book he read as a kid so it could be an influence or just a massive coincidence.

he said he didn't want to show the public because of people tend to go viral with movies now-a-days...which takes away much of the magic of the movie making process. if you've been following the production of a kick@$$ movie, it's not as surprising or thrilling as going to see a kick@$$ movie and knowing next to nothing about it. the type of mystery that surrounded this film hasn't been seen in a long while and he wanted to restore that.

i wish people would stop trying to say that Cameron is plagiarizing or copying or whatever. it's only natural to create art using things that have inspired you throughout your life. if Cameron is plagiarizing then Lucas plagiarized when he used Kurosawa's films as inspiration for Star Wars.

If this is true that would be AWESOME!

I don't see how it can be Pandora's parent planet...especially being that it is a gas giant...or maybe it just looks like one.

If they did make Avatar 2 Im assuming it would just be a seperate story and not a saga...because there are no Na'vi outside of pandora

Aside from the blue, this doesn't really resemble Avatar. That Portuguese(?) cartoonist has a better plagiarism case.

Haha, that's a big endorsement. Though from what I've seen, his character is pretty off the wall, in a creepy calm sort of way. The coffee sipping while blowing away Na'Vi looked like a classic scene.
