The Dark Knight Can anyone see this movie ending in...

Rachel gets killed

Pretty sure Gyllenhaal is signed on for two films. Her ghost could haunt Bruce's dreams or something fruity like that in the third, but I'm guessing her fate more likely to be the next D.A.

I can see Rachel getting taken out by *Two-Face*, and that having a more dramatic twist for both Rachel and Bruce. Being killed by your friend-turned-psychopath? Yeah. That's gonna hurt.

I want it to end in tragedy, but I don't want it to end with Batman failing to capture the Joker.I think it's tragedy enough having one of your best friends scarred for life, both physically and mentally. And I want Batman to fail saving Harvey,to where he always has this on his conscious.

I don't think that it ending with Joker escaping would necessarily mean Batman is incompetent, just that he is human. After all, the Joker is his greatest enemy.

I agree because its like in the Hush comic, I think it was, where I think Robin said something like you cant have a batma without joker. That they are opposites and balance each other out in a weird way.

Joker better be incarcerated in Arkham, only to escape for the third movie.

Batman is not an incompetent. Arkham as an institution is ruined.

I like the idea of Joker being taken to Arkham and Maroni being the one throwing the acid at Harvey Dent.

I would love to see the movie end this way Rachael is killed, Harvey becomes Two-Face, and Batman starts to doubt himself, and at the end of the movie we learn that the Joker escaped from Arkham and this makes Batman even more depressed

I think depressed is the wrong word though. Vengeful maybe.

well we know a few plot points so far.

the movie opens with Harvey running for office. the organized crime scene in Gotham is volatile since Batman took down Falcone. Lots of groups vying for power. Especially the freaks. The people affected mentally by Scarecrow's gas.
There's a new drug that's hot on the market. A derivative of the fear compound Crane devised. And there's the Joker. A rising star. Brilliant but insane. And another element. Batman inspired vigilantes.

Joker and his gang pull off a bank heist in a schoolbus. There's some zip lines involved.

I think from the two shoots in the garage that there is a meeting for the drugs between Crane who's selling and The other mob that's buying. The faux Batman and the real Batman show up. Not too sure on the details but we know the Tumbler does a jump entrance and somewhere along the way a sedan gets blown up.
There's a big chase from the parking garage.
Theres a rumor the Tumbler gets destroyed and he escapes in the pod thingie.

There's a party at the penthouse Joker crashes.
Batman meets Gordon outside his apt again.

there's something going down at the docks. If the rumors are true it involves a gambit and some ferries with people on them trying to evacuate the city.

We almost have to believe that Harvey gets his start on becoming two face.
He and the Joker have a thing for each other it sounds like.

this movie will probably go well over 2 hours.
