Can Iron Man be redeemed?

Tony Stark has always been a *****e. Please read Armor Wars. He's broken his closest friends' trust continously (see Pepper, Happy, Jim Rhodes, Cap, Spidey) and is only after what "he" thinks is the greater good. This Extremis project was NOT good for Tony at all. With him being a futurist and having unlimited firepower at his disposal, who's to say that he won't turn into a Parallax, or a Monarch? Heroes who started out good but felt that what "they" decided was the best for everybody else.

The list truly goes on about him. He's basically still his old surgeon personality, just watered down some.

Not to mention when he simply just dumps them into life threatening situations that they never would have agreed to.
