Can we get some love for Ant?

Mario Gully's brought one of the most interesting new superheroes I've seen in a long time. Granted her villains are kinda lame & unoriginal, but she's fascinating.

Didn't the book start having nudity for nudity's sake? Then the writer promised a refund to retailers who hadn't sold copies and he promised to rewrite a certain issue and bring another writer in to help with future issues.
That doesn't sound like a very good book to me (... except for the nudity part...)

I never saw any nudity in Ant. The closest they come to it is her costume being basically a spray-on chemical compound. But it's not a T & A book. If it were I wouldn't bother with it.

Anyway, I'm sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong. This series has intrigued me, but nothing more. Read a 5-page preview on Image with spawn in it and it bored me.

Ive read about the Ant,and it is good.But i stoped buying it,to make room for some TPB`s.I heard there was indeed nudity,but i can imagine that statement is exagerated.

Partly b/c she's insect-themed & crawls on walls. And the Todd McFarlane Spidey cover has been ripped off more times than I care to think about. Plus, I think in some small way Mario was paying tribute to Todd.
As for the stripper bit, in the midst of everything else that was going on I can honestly say she didn't really hold my attention. Admittedly, #8 is not my favorite issue, but I'm still into the book.

I read a couple issues back before it went to Image and I didnt think it was worth the money. It's too much of a 90's image book in terms of art and concept that I couldn't like it. If I wanted bad 90's Image art, I hit the 5 for a dollar bin at my comic store.

Oh, well. To each his own. I still enjoy it & it's the ONLY Image title I buy.
