NBC is really going out of it's way to show the world they're a no-comedy-zone. Cancel Welcome To Sweden two weeks in after barely promoting it (if at all), and clearly burning off Craig Robinson's show and that Carmichael show.

Christina Applegate revealed that all the Bundys were going to show up in the Bud Bundy spin off before the studio behind it decided to not pursue the show anymore. FOX should just give us an hour reunion movie to wrap up the show.

They did do a reunion show a few years ago but it wasn't a "Bundy" reunion so much as just the cast. It would be really fun to see how the Bundy family lives in the year 2015 though.

Fox Nabs ‘Horrorstör’ Dramedy From Josh Schwartz, Gail Berman & Charlie Kaufman As Put Pilot
by Nellie Andreeva

In 2003, Josh Schwartz at age 26 became the youngest show creator and showrunner when Fox, then run by entertainment president Gail Berman, picked up his first pilot, The O.C. (That’s the two of them at The O.C. kickoff party in July 2003.)

Twelve years later Schwartz and Berman have reunited for another drama project at Fox written by Schwartz. The network has given a put pilot commitment to Horrorstör, an hourlong dramedy inspired by the supernatural mystery novel by Grady Hendrix. Berman’s The Jackal Group and Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire are producing. ABC Studios, where Fake Empire is under an overall deal, is the studio.

Written by Schwartz and Black List screenwriter Michael Vukadinovich, Horrorstör centers on 26-year-old Amy. Newly sober, she lands a job at ORSK, the U.S. Flagship of the European furniture superstore. It feels like just the opportunity she’s needed to get her life back on track, but as Amy comes to discover, the store actually preys upon its customers’ desires to a supernatural degree, selling products that make their wishes and fantasies come true in unexpected and insidious ways.

The Jackal Group, Berman’s co-venture with Fox Networks Group, acquired Grady Hendrix’s novel — designed in the format of an Ikea-esque furniture catalog — last October. It was Oscar winner Charlie Kaufman (Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind), who brought the book to Berman’s attention. Berman then reached out to Schwartz and Savage, who came on board, along with ABC Studios. Schwartz, Berman, Savage and Kaufman are executive producing the project with David Borgenicht, CEO of Horrorstör publisher Quirk Books. Vukadinovich will co-executive produce. Hendrix will serve as a consultant.

Horrorstör marks Schwartz’s first time writing a series project since two scripts he co-wrote during the 2006-07 season, Gossip Girl at the CW (with Savage) and Chuck at NBC (with Chris Fedak), went to pilot and then to series that had memorable runs.

Fake Empire has ABC summer series Astronaut Wives Club, which was created by Savage, also adapted from a book. In features, the duo, repped by WME and attorney Joel McKuin, has a deal at Universal Pictures, where they are developing Monster High, based on Mattel’s billion dollar franchise.

Vukadinovich, who has landed 2 scripts on the Black List, The Secret Ingredients Of Rocket Cola and The Three Misfortunes Of Geppetto, is repped by Verve, Industry Entertainment and attorney Rob Goldman.

Given who is involved, I wonder if this will basically be for IKEA what Chuck was for Best Buy, and with supernatural shenanigans instead of spy stuff.

Well, an actual reunion movie would be fun. Not sure about Bud as a lead character, thogh

Anything that brings back the original cast and keeps the spirit of the series would be fine with me.

Fox Orders Lee Daniels Music Drama Pilot 'Star'
AUGUST 06, 2015 9:13am PT by Lesley Goldberg

'Star' will be told from the artist's point of view.

Fox opened its day at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour with a big announcement: The network is teaming with Empire co-creator Lee Daniels for a new music drama pilot.

Fox TV Group chairman and CEO Dana Walden announced that the network has ordered Star, a drama pilot set in the music business.

"Like Empire, it's set against the backdrop of the music business but from a different perspective," Walden said. Daniels will write, exec produce and direct Star. Tom Donaghy (The Whole Truth) will serve as a writer and EP on the pilot alongside Daniels.

The drama is set in Atlanta and revolves around three girls who come together to form a band and Star details their rise to the top in a challenging business. And while Empire is told from the point of view of music executives, Star will be told from the perspective of the artist.

Walden noted that one of the characters would be rising out of poverty, with much of the drama taken from Daniels' point of view, which she said "lends some authenticity from these worlds."

Walden noted that the plan isn't for there to be immediate crossovers with Empire, though that is not completely off the table. Both series are set in modern-day — with Star in Atlanta and Empire in New York. Walden called Star a mixture of music, drama and soap — basically like Empire.

The pilot pickup comes a month after Daniels inked a massive overall deal with Walden and her fellow Fox TV Group chairman and CEO Gary Newman's sibling studio 20th Century Fox Television.

The decision to expand its relationship with Daniels comes after Empire rewrote network TV ratings this past season, reinvigorating the struggling network — and broadcast television as a whole.

Star joins Urban Cowboy as early drama pilots at Fox as the network continues to shift to year-round development.

Miller mentioned that there was discussion several months ago.

Oh my God, can the f***ing originality complaint already, people, we're on a board dedicated to characters that get, like, 5-6 films each. We're not the ones who should be throwing stones. :o

Prison break should be a 1-2 season max.
The show got old real quick once they got past the on the run aspect and put them back into a prison.

Man I hope they "reinvent" 2 men and a half men! Let's see if you go H.A.M. if that's the case.

Love the idea! BUT I have to say what the freak Hollywood! They have completely run out of ideas. With the reboot of Heroes, X-files, and Walking Dead spin off and now this, Hollywood can't do anything original now.

Wonder how bad this will screw up Legends of Tomorrow or the Flash for that matter.

24 is getting a reboot, and it will be a 'total reset' with new characters, no Jack Bauer, and no Keifer Sutherland

A reboot of 24 is still in development, according to Fox chairman and CEO Gary Newman, who offered an update to reporters during the network’s summer press tour.

Manny Coto and Evan Katz are writing the script, with longtime 24 producer Howard Gordon supervising. Though the network hasn’t seen the script yet, Newman said it will center on a new character in the absence of of Jack Bauer. Not that they didn’t try.

“Obviously we would love to have Kiefer [Sutherland] and we went to him first,” said Newman. “It isn’t something he wants to do at this point, but he encouraged us to continue and look for a way to bring the show back.” The network has been weighing the possibility of a Kiefer-less 24 since January.

The familiar clock will be chiming once again in the new series, but as for familiar characters, Newman admitted, “Honestly I don’t know whether we’ll see any old characters or not. It would not surprise me if it’s a total reset in terms of the characters.”

They need to have Steve, Marcy and Jefferson.

I'm actually surprised that there wasn't a mini reunion via Modern Family. Christina Applegate could have played a childhood friend of Claire, which meant an interaction with Jay.

The Notebook Series in Development at The CW
The official logline: “This series will follow the romantic journey of the two beloved central characters Noah and Allie, at the outset of their blossoming relationship as they build their lives and their future together against the backdrop of the racial politics, economic inequities, and social mores of post-World War II of the late 1940s in North Carolina.”
This could probably work, honestly. I think the biggest hurdle to overcome will be twenty-something girls raging over the fact that Gosling won't be cast.

So regarding the Prison Break series... I guess Michael didn't die after all?
