There is also Oliver (Gender) Twist being made into a modern day procedural with Oliver now a woman (so Olivia, I guess?) and King Arthur being made into a modern day procedural at Fox.

Yes they really are this desperate to take absolutely anything that has been done before and put a spin on it in an attempt to get the audience to watch it.

It worked with Elementary but I doubt King Arthur in New York fighting ancient magic is going to succeed any more than Olivia Twist in modern times is going to do well.

Grimm was renewed back in April. Only recently did they announce it as the final season.

The big networks go to move is turn something into a run of the mill police procedural. NBC wanted to turn The Walking Dead into a police procedural but without the tongue in cheek wit of IZombie.

Sherlock Holmes already had contemporary updates before (House, Sherlock, Shirley Holmes) and fits procedural structured shows. The whole reason CBS made the show was because they could not remake the BBC Cumberbatch version so made their own show.
