Candyman remake

The thing that is so refreshing is that Nia Decosta focuses on character building and atmosphere here over jump scares and gallons of gore. It has its brief moments of gore but it’s there for a reason.
Most of the on screen kills are white victims.

The new characters are compelling enough that the brief appearances by Tony Todd help set this film apart from its predecessor. It complements the 1992 film.

Of course.

I have been very picky about the films I want to watch. I returned to the theaters for Green Knight (watched Black Widow via Disney+) and I will come back to the theaters for Shang Chi.

If you’re fully vaccinated, and the theatre is following covid safety protocols, no.

There are a lot worse places right now more concerning than theatres.
Fully vaccinated people are getting sick left and right.

Fully vaccinated people are getting sick left and right.

From everything I’ve read from experts, it’s uncommon but does happen occasionally. And the rare cases seem to be mild.

But look, live your life. Be safe. For me, a movie theatre doesn’t pose a threat and I doubt theatres themselves are causing a rise in infected. Schools, gyms and restaurants might be a greater cause for concern.

Just got back. Loved every frame of this film. It does what great horror sequels are supposed to do: Expand on the themes and mythology in a meaningful way to tell a larger story. 9/10

really enjoyed this and felt like it was a worthy sequel to the original.

Can't make it this weekend, but hoping to make it sometime within the next week. Great to see it doing so well at the box office!

Good that's the way it should be. Stop cannibalizing film box office.
