What's everyone's problem..???

This suit is unbelievably well designed..

Look at how well he will be able to move in that bad boy..

I think the design is great..

there's stuff i don't like..

i'm not a fan of how small and hard to see the bat on the chest is..

i could handle the ears being a bit longer and not quite so 'horn' like..

i'd like the cape to not be cloth cos it looks weird..

but all that stuff i can look over..

I think it's a good look..

Hopefully in the next movie they do something similar but with a thin "Kevlar / Bulletproof" material over the top to look more in line with the comics so everyone's happy..

But for me, i think it's good..

The suit is my only problem with this movie. It's a step back.

The neck is better, he will be more agile so hopefully the awful Batman-choreography from BB will be gone.

But the opening around the mouth is to small. I've never seen the opening so small, not in previous movies, not in the comics and not in the tv-series. It makes his cheeks look to "small" and his face is less masculine and looks more like a cat. Judging by the head only he looks more like a Catman then Batman.

His legs looks awful. It's strange they are releasing photos of Batman in the light. It will probably look much better in the dark. And I hope it will look better in movement then in the pictures.

This suit is all in all a disappointment so far. But it will have little effect on if I will like this movie or not. I'll probably love it, regardless.

The cheeks of the cowl are very concave, almost gives him the look of a vampire IMO.

I don't know, but this pic makes the suit look badass.

I have a strong feeling the mask on the Empire cover was probably quickly put on. They probably didn't realize how bad the nose looked at the time, because they were probably in a rush. Plus, we shouldn't his look from some promo pictures. I'm reserving my judgement til July 18.:brucebat:

First, where'd you find that?
And second in that pic Bale looks friggin sweet. It's like I keep saying, the suit looks good as long as you don't see anything below the chest area.

my BIG issue with the suit is the that the cape doesnt wrap around...
its a fundamental look of the dark knight. that is practical [stealth cover] as well as visual..[looks damn cool]..
and the thing is..if the cape was mainly a wrap around, it would stop the issue some have of the suit looking too high tech, or busy...

so far every pic we have seen, the cape is placed completely behind him so all u see is this busy, big legged tech suit...now that doesnt strike fear into criminals...that doesnt look elemental etc....
its batman..yeah, but how awesome would it be if when he is standing around and not in action, that u see the cape draped around him so he looks more authentic..more animalistic, and more mysterious....isnt that the point of batmans look to start with?

i want wrap around dammit...
sigh....

First, in the Pics thread at the top when you enter The Dark Knight (Spoilers) Thread.

And second, I'll agree and disagree. Yes, Bale looks friggen sweet there, but even below the chest area, it looks cool. Yeah, it's a little busy looking, but nonetheless badass.:brucebat:

Yeah that's another big gripe of mine too. I mean the wrap around cape worked in V for Vendetta, it could definitely work here too. A possible reason for it just hanging there is to stay out of Batman's way but he like V could just move it out of the way when he needs to. My only other gripe with the cape is that they couldn't get it and the suit to the same color.

ha ha ha ha ha .....the suit always looked good ....you just didn't want to disavow it:-)

a wraparound cape??? you mean covering the shoulders ?

Yeah, but only when he's standing or talking. It folds back near the shoulders when fighting, but goes around when talking to Gordon or something. Not needed, but it would be cool to see.:brucebat:

ah i know what you mean the covering behind his cape :-) the mysteriuos part of being just a shadow while presenting him to someone....how to explain..i dont know ...but im sure i get your point...(pictures would help explain that) ;-)

The look is cool, and would be very interesting to see in the movies.:brucebat:

Make black and darker grey version of this in the same manner as the Spider-Man suit, Fantastic Four costumes, or even the Begins suit, and you'd have a pretty killer batsuit.

looks very 'meh' to me. even if the grays were darker, i probably wouldnt want a live action suit like that. really all it is, is the Dead End suit with piping and lining on it.

Thats a cool pic. Its from MK vs. DC, correct?

Which is why I suggested making it in the same manner was the Spider-Man, FF, or even Begins suits; to give it some weight and toughness that the DE suit didn't have.

Also, I'm not sure I understand your complaint, when I consider that batsuit manipulation based on the Johnny Storm picture you did a while back. Your comments seem as applicable to that suit as they do to the MK suit above. For the record, I'm not trying to be a jerk--I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from.

Yea but you can tell that it can wrap around but for some reason they have shied away from that look which just makes no sense if ya ask me. Batman should be wrapped up in that thing as much as physically possible.

If that was all black it would look really sick. Like a less puffy version of the BB suit.

I was rummaging through the old Begins folder and found an image that popped out. Many will remember this as concept art from "The Art of Batman Begins," which shows a different 9and superior) direction that the Begins suit could have gone.

As much as I appreciate the unique approach they've taken to the construction of this suit (though not the aesthetics), I think the Begins suit could still be a viable avenue, if executed a little different. Streamline it, find some way around the bulk and buckling issue (especially in the chest), etcetera.
