i still think they should of just put him in some grey PJs with black underwear and boots, with a yellow bat symbol on his chest.

I think the BB suit in TDK still looks great; one of my fave shots of it is the side shot when he is composing himself before jumping on the van.

I love that paint job.:brucebat:

I do too, and that's all I was really hoping for in TDK (except with the gray a litter darker, more of a charcoal gray).

I would have loved to see them incorporate that paint job, segment the neck and cowl for better movement, and slim the suit down a tad. Unfortunately, Nolan did two of the three things I wanted, but then added lots of detail I though unnecessary.

I am glad they incorporated the white lenses, as an homage to the comics, and I think it worked perfectly within the story.

Here's my ideal suit. I posted this in the sequel manips forum about a month ago, but figured I'd post it here too. I took the DK suit and smoothed out the mesh between the armor, got rid of the gold belt, streamlined the cowl, made the nose narrower, and shopped in the white eyes. Also made the cape less 'velvety'.

That's one of the best incorporations of the white lenses in the movie Batsuits that I've seen.

those are one of the times where i regret Bale's growly Batman voice. plus the fact that that line is awful really doesnt help.

I agree the suit looked really bad in the beginning.

do you mean bad as in torn up. cuz i thought the suit looked great in the beginning of TDK. bale looked huge in it and when he gets up to jump on the van.....that part gives me goosebumps:brucebat:

I was looking at this picture and wondering how they pulled off NightOwl turning his head. Obviously this isnt rubber, but why didnt they make the TDK cowl out of this material instead of giving him a robo-neck?

That said of course, i have never seen a pic of NightOwl where he moves his hands further than this position. I suppose that his suit will suffer from the creased armpit effect that bugged the Begins suit. Its a really nice suit though. Its a bit too boxy but it certainly has some good ideas going on with it.

Anyway, the TDK suit looked very good most of the time. It gave a cloth feel when it was in the dark. The pants were barely visible but i cant say that about the roboneck. Eh...what the hell, i almost got used to it...

That's a sweet suit. It's very much more organic looking than the real suit. But I'd rather leave the white eyes out of the suit and get rid of that "pointy" style jaw opening in the cowl that everybody wants to put in because the comics have it.

But I wouldn't mind seeing that kind of suit for the third film.

Wicked :batty:

I'm pretty sure everyone wants to put that in because it looks really cool.
For me it never works in en face shots of him, be it comics or films (well...your manips that is). It only works from the side. From the front it makes him look like he is smiling. Anyway, this concept cant be applied to bale. Look at the lengths they went to to make his jaw look good under the cape!

And yeah....Golden belt forever!

I don't know if you guys caught this but in the scene where Batman meets Gordon in the vault... Did anyone notice how off the cowl looked on Bale? If you notice the eye slits, they were way too big and stretched away from his eyes making it look very weird.

I wasn't paying that close attention to it but since your post count is over 300 I'll take your word for it.

I think it was actually intentional that the BB suit felt awkward on Bruce in the beginning, because by the time the new suit arrived, you felt a huge improvement.

I thought the suit altogether stood out more, I think they wanted it to be like that because he looked huge in the garage scene. You don't think they actually changed the suit from the first film do you? They might have I guess
