its a great run..i'd like to see cap team up with UJ alot more..they work well off each other.

however i am bias :D
Yeah but I kinda hate how they've made him pretty much a sidekick. The guy's been getting his ass kicked for the last 2 issues will Cap is doing A-Okay...Does Union Jack not have any good fighting skills really or is Cap's just that insanely good or...well, I can't think of anything.

Good thing hes getting his own mini to kick ass in,

The book has been magnificent since the very first issue. So yes, if you want to start reading more into it then you should start from there. It's one of my top Marvel titles as of now, and I'm really enjoying Epting's artwork. It's been tremendous for the book. Brubaker really knows how to tell a Captain America story, and I hope he continues to stay with the character.

I like the rotation with Perkins and Epting, theyre great. That issue lark ddi was great too and the flashback pages.

Perkins and Epting are how Marvel and DC should handle the art teams on there books, find two guys who complement each other's talent and let them trade off on issues.

Those guys are amazing.

The flashback pages were a nice touch for a lot of the issues. I like the way Brubaker has handled CA's past. I'm enjoying Lark's artwork on Daredevil, along with the story itself.

It is a good system.

That it is, Captain America is better for it. Two solid artists devoid of ego enough to share the load witout sacrificing quality.

Lark is a welcome suprise, I usually don't go for his style of art, but guy is a solid draftsman.

When he first drew for the Captain America #7, I was suprised as well. I liked his version of Jack Monroe, on the Nomad story. I really like his style, especially since moving onto Daredevil. But personally, I enjoy Epting's interpretation of CA a whole lot better. It just feels right for the book.

Cap has been solid and I can't remember a time when someone would say that Cap is badass and not laugh until now.

Cap's a solider,thru and thru.A soldier first,then a "superhero".Brubaker and Millar have done wonders for the character.

Never thought I would say it,but Cap is my favorite hero.

Epting is like the average looking girl in highschool with a great personality and solid grades, who everyone ignored until she got to college and blossomed into a solid hottie!

It just makes you wonder what art from the likes of John Buscema would look like today with all the glossy paper, rich colors and solid inking.

The most solid artists in my opinion are....

John Romita Jr.

Steve Epting

Michael Lark

Mike Perkins

Mark Bagley

Alan Davis

All these guys have the same qualities...

*Good work ethic
*Solid draftsmanship
*Speed (Compared to other artists, who can't even finish a whole arc.)
*Great story telling ability
*Can do quite moments and action equally

Hell Gene Colen or Herb Trimpe!

All guys who can put out loads of art and maintain quality, I'd rather a less flashy artist who does solid work and does it on time, than a flashy 'Joe Mad' type who can't even finish his own work.

Man!Gene Colan's pencils were out of this world.I got this Marvel hardcover and there's a page of a DD cover by Colan with DD fighting Cap in a ring. It's gorgeous.

I'd love to see that.

I wish these newer artists would take a que from guys like Perez and Colan, the only glitch in George Perez's art to me is that he has no sense of style as far as clothes and costume design.

You're not being biased. I thought that their team up was really good and wouldn't mind seeing more of the two together.

Steve Epting is my favorite artist today, and he reminds me a lot of John Buscema, who's my favorite artist ever.

If you want to see Big John's art on glossy paper and with today's colors, you can check out the Dark Horse trade paperbacks of Conan reprints that cover the original Marvel Conan the Barbarian series. Buscema's art (and Barry Windsor-Smith's art) looks incredible with today's production values. I wish Marvel would recolor their classic work like Dark Horse is doing.
