In the comics it turns out that Cap works for Hydra from what I read. Personally don't think it will last and there will be some twist to this. To those who have read it, is there more here? Do you think it will stick? What could the real twist be if it's a ruse?

One of the dumbest ideas ever. This is Brand New Day stupid

I'm guessing they're gonna retract it though right, make a twist within a twist? If not... What. The. Hell.

Aloha,
Man you guys, you act like you haven't been reading comics for the past ten plus years. Of course there is going to be a twist to this.I must have missed the chapter in the fanboy handbook that says you are supposed to react to every thing in a comic book before the arc concludes. Is it at all possible that Cap is working as a oduble agent? Is there a negative effect from the cosmic cube? Anything is possible. But some have already made their conclusions based upon issue one and NOTHING ELSE!
Spidey rules.

That's what I'm thinking, there's no way this can hold. It'd be beyond disturbing and trash the character if it did. I haven't read the arc and have no idea what's going on, just found of via news stories popping up everywhere about it lol. Personally think it's double-double agent for whatever reason they have. This'd be worse than the time when Ock became Spider-Man. :loco:

Aloha,
I'm sure Peter Parker would agree with you:cwink:.But think about this. Captain America has been around for 75 years. He is a major character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Does anyone think that Marvel will destroy his legacy? Where's the money pay off in that? The fact that all over the news and internet we heard about this change makes me happy to be a comic book fan in this day and age. Word to the wise. When a comic book character is written OUT OF CHARACTER, it usually does not last for long.

I have three syllables for making Steve a hydra sympathizer
BA-LO-NEY

Today, It was revealed That Cap was a Hydra sympathizer BEFORE the cosmic cube rewrote reality.
In fact, the new revelations suggest that the false reality was the one where cap was a hero.
The Cube was RESTORING the actual reality where Cap has always been a traitor.

Secret Empire#0 is the source for the new revelations that I mentioned.

I cannot see any way in hell this is going to be the new status quo. There will be a way that Marvel can - and will - undo this once they've had the hoped-for sales boost.

Well, did a review for Secret Empire #0, and in many ways, this was a very difficult one for me to write. Because parts of this comic are extremely well-written and illustrated, and almost everything fits together perfectly. At the same time, though, the apparent retcon in the Prologue is, as I wrote, "cynical as it is pointless and destructive," and no matter how this event unfolds, it's really destroyed Captain America as a character.

Stillanerd Reviews: Secret Empire #0

I don't read a lot of Marvel but that was an interesting review!

Stoooooooopidest idea ever

I think Marvel comics wants readers to move on and embrace other characters. The original Steve Rogers is played out for them as a straight up hero. Yet, they won't kill him off and give him a true heroes death, so they assassinate his character. It's also possible that the comics want to distance the characters from or even sully the reps of the MCU counterparts. Now, why do that?

Well, people often say they can't get into goody-two-shoes Cap.

'He's too good...' 'He's too bad...' Honestly, you just can't please some people! :funny: [BLACKOUT]Joke - I still think it's a stupid idea![/BLACKOUT]

Im not thrilled with him being a hydra agent. But that doesnt ruin my love for him in both the comics and films leading up to this dumb butt comic.

Watch it being remember fondly in a few years and then unnecessarily made into a movie in a few movie like Civil War.
