As an aspiring film student, I like to come up with story treatments for what I'd pitch to a studio if given creative access to upcoming superhero productions. So I'll just post them here, please feel free to comment, I'm eager to hear what people like/don't like to help me perfect my writing.

To begin: Justice League Part 1

Ben Affleck: Bruce Wayne/Batman --- Gal Gadot : Diana Prince/Wonder Woman
Ezra Miller : Barry Allen/The Flash --- Ray Fisher : Vic Stone/Cyborg
Jason Momoa : Aquaman --- Luke Evans : King Orm
Keith David : Vulko --- Aaron Paul : Guy Gardner
Amber Heard : Mera --- Jeremy Irons: Alfred Pennyworth
J.K. Simmons: Commissoner Gordon --- Patrick Wilson: President of the United States
Willem Dafoe as Captain Nathaniel Adam

-A U.S. submarine is on patrol when it receives an alert to an incoming threat. Opening fire, it destroys the unidentified object, revealed as an Antlantean structure.

-On the surface, Bruce Wayne and Diana are hard at work in the Batcave investigating the files they stole from Luthor in BvS. Bruce’s nightmares have convinced him he needs to build a League of heroes to stand against future threats, especially now with Superman dead. Diana agrees that in the mythological times, this is what was always done to face the threats no one hero could handle alone.

-Little do they know, but the government has also seized the same video files as part of the investigation preparing for Luthor’s trial. The President of the United States has his own plans to unite the heroes to work for the U.S. Along with newly appointed Head of Supernatural Affairs Cpt. Nathaniel Adam, he tasks elite CIA agent Guy Gardner to take his team and bring the metahumans in line.

-Back beneath the sea, the submarine sends out divers to investigate the mysterious structure. Suddenly, they are attacked and killed by a squad of Antlantean soldiers. Only one is taken prisoner. Footage of the attack is immediately relayed to the Adam, who connects it at once to Aquaman and puts the Navy on high alert.

-The human prisoner is brought to Atlantis and placed before King Orm. Though the sailor tries to feign apology, Orm rails against the surface world for polluting their oceans and now outwardly attacking his people. Orm’s brother Arthur tries to talk him down, but Arthur’s lover, General Mera, insists retribution must be made. Both brothers seek advice from their mentor, Vulko, who informs them that he cannot make the decisions of a king. Orm then declares war on the surface world.

-Unaware of the crises brewing, Diana and Bruce break up in their mission to recruit the mysterious heroes. As Batman, Bruce locates the S.T.A.R. labs facility ran by Silas Stone and infiltrates it “Mission Impossible style”. He is confronted inside by Dr. Stone himself, but gives a rousing recruitment speech, prompting Victor to come out of the shadows, eager to help save the world.

-In Central City, Diana is having more trouble locating The Flash. Donning her Wonder Woman attire, she causes a ruckus, resulting in The Flash swopping in to “stop” her. After a brief scuffle, Diana explains the situation and Flash immediately signs up, partly to help protect people, partly because he thinks Wonder Woman is hot. However, this scuffle has also attracted the attention of Guy’s response team, who crash the party, but are quickly disarmed by Flash, before he and Wonder Woman leave together.

-In the Batcave, the first four heroes of a makeshift League meet for the first time. Bruce is bothered by the youthful enthusiasm of the new recruits, as they remind him of the lost past Robins. Diana sees only potential, however. Alfred gives Barry’s homemade suit an upgrade while the speedster and Cyborg rapidly become best friends. Bruce quickly turns the focus to finding Aquaman, but a news report shows they may not have to look far. The Eastern sea board is under attack. By water.

-A badly embarrassed Guy Gardner complains to his bosses that he didn’t have the firepower to fight metahumans. Cpt. Adam reminds him his purpose isn’t to fight them, but to unite them. This is all interrupted by the reports from the seaboard. The President gives Adam authority to utilize their full stockpile of exotic weapons to stop this new threat.

-Commanding the seas, Orm once again turns down his brother’s pleas to stop, declaring that Arthur’s weakness towards his human ancestry is why he can never be king. Vulco, meanwhile, tells Arthur to follow his heart. He bids farewell to Mera and leaves.

-The fledgling League arrives to Gotham and Metropolis, which are bearing the brunt of the attacks. Commissioner Gordon is supervising the evacuation of Gotham. When the League appears to help, he distrusts them, his relationship with Batman no longer what it once was. But when government forces fail to arrive in sufficient force, he begrudgingly accepts their help.

-On a military black site, Guy and his team are like kids in a candy store, suiting up with an array of outlandish and other-worldy weapons. Task Force X is mentioned as having been dispatched to another city. Guy finds a Green Lantern ring, which he commandeers, dubbing himself “Power Ring”. As he leaves, however, he is confronted by Adam, who transforms into Captain Atom, revealing himself as Earth’s first superhero, now retired, but ready to go into the fight one last time.

-In Gotham, the heroic quartet is struggling to work together as a team to stop the onslaught of waves, lightning, and sea beasts, all while getting the civilians to safety (Including ever-risk-taking reporter, Lois Lane, who refuses to leave) However, the government heroes show up, now led by Captain Atom, and order the League to stand down. To his teammates horror, Batman agrees.

-Retreating away from the frontlines, Diana and Bruce bicker about his leadership capabilities. The argument is interrupted when Aquaman crashes the scene. After a quick fight, he explains his purpose: That Orm is simply misguided, and they must bring both sides to peace before all out war breaks loose.

-Little does Arthur know, but it is too late to stop the war. Mera puts her army into march towards Gotham, but confides with Orm that she doesn’t want to fight Arthur. Neither does he, Orm assures her. The Antlantean army attacks in full force, overwhelming the government team while struggling to maintain minimum civilian casualties. Vulko saves Lois and Gordon but Captain Atom misunderstands and attacks him. He is critically wounded and flies off before detonating, seemingly killing Vulko and decimating the Antlantean army.

-The loss of his mentor and destruction of his army, however, only pushes Orm over the edge. He unleashes his full power, no longer caring about collateral damage. Guy stands alone, beaten, with a ring he doesn’t understand and is fighting his control. Just in the nick of time, however, the Justice League arrives. They unite and are able to ultimately defeat Orm.

-In the aftermath of the battle, Orm is arrested, against Aquaman’s attempted plea of diplomatic immunity. The press swarm the heroes, and Flash officially debuts their code names and dubs them “The Justice League”, all to Batman’s chagrin. A memorial is held for Captain Atom, Bruce regrets he was unable to join the League. Despite the heroes refusing to work under governmental control and Batman refusing “Power Ring” a place on the team, the President caves to public opinion and endorses them. Now King, Aquaman returns to Atlantis with Mera, only to be confronted by a shockingly alive Vulko, who reveals himself to have been the alien agent Steppenwolf all along. He flees, and Aquaman rushes to warn the rest of the League. They, however, have even worse news. During the battle, Clark Kent’s grave was robbed. The body of Superman is gone!
TO BE CONTINUED…

Mid Credits Scene: Guy’s ring has finally accepted him as a host after his stubborn display of courage in Gotham. However, as he leaves work in the middle of a storm, he is confronted by Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and Jon Stewart, looking for an errant ring.

Post Credits Stinger: Time space is warped and twisted as an energy form passes through a wormhole before crashing out, revealing an utterly disoriented Captain Atom. Not sure where or when he is, he is horrified to witness the full force of Apokolips, as Steppenwolf unveils a resurrected and decidedly unfriendly Man of Steel to an approving Darkseid.

You know, in all this time, I never thought what Guy does for a living.
I always heard the name Orin, never heard it Orm.

Anyway, I don't see why Wonder Woman needs to start a ruckus to attract Flash, pretty sure she can hire a P.I to find the guy in a certain image, or she finds him herself.

Why does Bruce need more nightmares? I thought he already came to the conclusion that a team needs to be assembled.

What about the plot for Darkseid?

Those are my nitpicks right now.

Thanks for reading and leaving some feedback, Aziz! Sorry it took so long for me to reply. To clarify, Bruce wasn't having MORE nightmares, he's just acting on the ones he had in BvS. Darkseid comes fully into play in JL:Part 2, which I'll hopefully finish eventually. I've been having some problems with it.

Blue Beetle/Booster Gold

Booster Gold: James Franco/Zac Efron Ted Kord: Zachary Levi/Adam Devine
Skeets: Michael Emerson Jaime Reyes: ?
Dr. Thomas Kord: Kelsey Grammer Firefist: Dule Hill
Vic Sage: Jake Gyllenhaal Maxwell Lord: Jamie Foxx

---Ted Kord is the lackadaisical, playboy “black sheep” of the Kord Family, a dynasty of geniuses and prodigies, the head of which is Ted’s Father: Thomas Kord, CEO of Kord Industries. After one too many public screw-ups, Ted is close to being cut off from the family fortune entirely. Late one night, Ted and his father get into an argument at a gala and the younger Kord drunkenly attempts to drive off. After being distracted by what he thinks is a shooting star, Ted careens off the road, only to be saved by flashy superhero Booster Gold.

---As the world’s newest superhero, Booster Gold quickly becomes the hottest star in Hub City, with the help of his faithful robot companion Skeets, he plays to the press, picks up the ladies, and displays an uncanny knack of getting to potential disasters in the nick of time. While cynical reporter Vic Sage questions the secrecy behind Booster, Ted is inspired and, having cleaned up his act after the crash, fashions himself a new superhero identity based on a piece in his father’s collection of Egyptian artifacts: The Blue Beetle.

---After a series of frustrated attempts to contact Booster, Ted dons his new “super suit” and starts listening in to police radio. When an tech-savvy thug calling himself “Firefist” robs a bank, Booster easily stops him, but Firefist escapes when Ted comes crashing in, claiming to be Booster’s new partner.

--- At first, Booster is angry with Ted for “stepping on his moment” and allowing Firefist to get away. However, he and his “biggest fan” soon become best friends, bonding over their shared tastes in pop culture, superheroics, and women. Booster and Skeets help train Ted and improve his tech, with assistance from bright young intern Jaime Reyes. Dr. Kord is suspicious of Booster, but is happy to get Ted out of his hair as he works on his latest breakthrough: The Brother Eye satellite.

--- The new “dynamic duo” moves to advance their branding, having already liscensed themselves out for merchandise, by joining the Justice League. However, they are abruptly turned away by Batman for being “reckless, opportunistic idiots”. Outrages, Ted phones in a fake supervillain attack. Batman and The Flash promptly teleport to the rescue and easily discover the ruse. Batman proceeds to punch out Beetle and the Leaguers leave, though Flash admits he “Kind of likes those guys”.

---Despite their perceived embarrassment, Booster and Beetle are more famous than ever. To celebrate, they take Jaime out for his 18th birthday. While partying, however, they are caught off guard by a bombing at a Hub City Business Center. Ted and Booster suit up and save several survivors from the wreckage, but are deeply shaken by this sudden attack, revealed to have been orchestrated by Firefist.

--- Ted blames himself for letting Firefist escape, but Booster reveals his secret: He’s a screwup from the future who stole his tech and came back in time to use future headlines to attain fame and fortune as a hero in the past. Ted was meant to have died in the opening accident and Firefist never escalated beyond common villainy. Booster is convinced that this is all his fault, by interfering with the time stream. Skeets is upset by this breach of secrecy, and briefly becomes hostile with Booster.

--- Firefist continues a series of attacks, always one step ahead of the heroes. He is no amassing an anti-industry terrorist following. Public opinion for the duo plummets in the following days, with Vic Sage once again leading the assault on our heroes.

---As a result of the new string of attacks, the Brother Eye crime-stopping program is approved, and the satellite is set to launch. Dr. Kord finally seems to be proud of his son, and offers to implant the two heroes with chips connected to the Brother Eye system in order to up their crime-fighting game. Ted is eager to sign up to stop Firefist, but Booster is skeptical. He wants to search Skeets’ database, but can’t find the robot. Deciding that Firefist is the key to everything, Beetle and Booster leave to hunt him down.

---The heroes hunt down and defeat Firefist and his cell. The over-his-head ringleader reveals that he was hired by an organization called CADMUS. Ted realizes that his father was meeting with that same group at the opening gala. The two race back to Kord Tower only to be locked out. With Jaime’s help, they break and confront Skeets, demanding answers about CADMUS and Brother Eye. Skeets refuses to help and proceeds to download himself into the satellite. On the robot’s discarded metal shell, Booster realized that it was in fact produced by CADMUS in the future. Booster races to stop the launch, while Beetle and Jaime try to hack in from the Tower.

---The satellite launches with Booster racing after it. Skeets, now in complete control, reveals CADMUS plans to open a wormhole and bring in an army of future military to usher in an era of peace through domination. Back in the tower Jaime and Ted are close to disabling the defenses when they are confronted by Dr. Kord. Thomas proceeds to reveal he has removed the Blue scarab’s twin from its case. He bonds with it, becoming the Black Beetle, and attacks Ted.

---While Ted duels his father, Jaime shuts down the shields, allowing Booster to destroy the satellite and presumably Skeets along with it. He returns back to the tower in time to help defeat Black Beetle.
-
--In the aftermath, the chaos is blamed entirely on Thomas and Kord Industries, and the company is bankrupted in the following litigation. Any mention of CADMUS is covered up, the wreackage of Brother Eye, Skeets, and the Black scarab are all confiscated by the government. Thomas Kord is placed in the Super Max, the U.S. government’s newest prison of super-criminals, which is shown to also house a despondent Orm, ex-king of Atlantis. Ted, Booster, and Jaime don’t know what to do, with Skeets and the Kord fortune gone, they begin to auction off Thomas’ collection (Featuring a cameo by Dr. Fate’s helmet) However, after attempting to get real jobs, they realize they just can’t stop the urge to save people. Their problem is seemingly solved when Lord Conglomerate suddenly purchases what remains of Kord Industries, and Beetle and Booster are introduced to their new boss, charismatic superhero fan: Maxwell Lord.

Mid Credits Scene: While packaging up artifacts for shipping, Jaime accidentally comes into contact with the Blue scarab. Hearing his
screams, Ted and Booster rush in to find him bonded with the scarab and transformed into the “true” Blue Beetle.

Post Credits Scene: Vic Sage, vindicated in his beliefs by the Brother Eye fiasco, receives a flashdrive containing clues about CADMUS. Donning The Question’s mask, he proceeds to launch a global, covert investigations, among his “questioning” allies, including one Detective Renee Montoya

What you have sounds good.
Its more of an idea or outline for a treatment, which is typically longer.

IDEA #1 .... The Terminator [Arnold's version] was dispatched to a distant time to track down & kill John Connor only to find the time he has jumped to was an apocalypse landscape overrun by zombies?
Both John & the Terminator having to fight off zombies trying to kill them while fighting off each other in the process.
I would have John & the Terminator form an unlikely alliance to fight off the zombie plague.
Towards the end a helicopter from Connor's rebels finds them both & pulls in John to the helicopter [get to the choppaa!] leaving the Terminator to die as he is swarmed by zombies.
John's only response...He'll be back.

Good idea or any improvements?
