However with something like this is enough...

I think it can be made more attractive by being more tasteful. By comparison, I found Angelina Jolie much more alluring in The Tourist than in Tomb Raider.

This suit is good, something akin to this current one would be good IMO.
That depends however if they want to go with witch side as in before the New 52 or maybe more grounded as after The New 52.

Because I also like the old design....

I think with some modifications and texture changes or a mix from both will make a really good suit.

Is resurrection one of her powers in the books?

Also if she needs to say her name to transform like Shazam then that gives her some sort of weakness instead of making her practically invincible.

Yeah I'm also curious about this. I don't recall anyone mentioning necromancy as part of her powerset.

I don't think she can resurrect anyone. At least, not in the Suicide Squad stories I've read so far. Been reading Ostrander's run, and Enchantress didn't bring anyone back to life, and her main conflict was the the dual personalities in her, between herself and June Moone.

Well, there's a world of difference between healing and resurrecting (I know, I know... I just had to point out and be that guy), but I understand what you mean.

Still, even if they decide to include healing powers, it's not necessarily a "Deus Ex Machina", it all depends on the execution. It could be very limited, as she wouldn't be able to heal someone who's more seriously hurt or it could cost her a lot of strength and energy to do so... there's plenty of ways to go with it and avoid having the trouble of "cheating", I believe.

It'd be neat if they had her start in street clothes ala the New 52 before transitioning her into something like that.

Actually in general they might want to make some changes so she doesn't end up being dismissed as a rip-off of Scarlet Witch from Avengers 2. They're mostly surface similarities but the film's version of the Witch does remind me a bit of New 52 Enchantress.

Here's a funny story, I always share all the latest casting news with my teenage daughters. They pretty much will say "Wow, cool, Dad" or something like that. They know I'm heavily pro-DC. Not that I'm anti-Marvel. In fact we've seen almost all the MCU films together. So when I was telling them the exciting news of this films casting they were busy with the usual non-chalant responses (about everyone!) UNTIL I got to Cara Delevingne. Suddenly they were both sitting up like "Wait, what?". For both of them this was the most exciting casting of the film. And they even corrected my pronunciation of her name.
