hmmm, someone who made her living in an industry that unashamedly exploits women and she's gunna complain about superhero movies :whatever:

Agreed. If anything she has MORE creditability since she's experience/seen it first hand.

And yet, she has gone on record as saying she doesn't want to be identified as "Cara the MODEL." She's experienced those things first-hand. One of the reasons why she's rumored to have cut ties with her managements and branching out into acting.

So again I ask: where is the ****ing lie tho?

Modelling is sexist.
Better go acting, coz you know, Hollywood is not....sexis......well.eeh....
sure. Hollywood isn't sexist - not at all, huh?
Yes, let's burn the bridge that should one-up one's acting career by quite the margin by immediately pointing out to sexism in superheroes.

And i'm sure she isn't provoking sexism when flashing the bozems publicly whilst making out with miss Rodriguez knowing the paparazzi be on their tails.....

I'm sure she's active in hollywood for her.....achievements in social study or something?

#hipocrismmuch?

sorry but come on, why attack the hand that feeds you?
These models and actresses have their vip-jobs and celeb-status and thus their luxurious cribs, rides and fastlane lifestiles to thank because of these things that get labeled as 'sexism'.

It's not sexist, it's 'normal'. Nobody wants to see oprah winfrey or adele in skintight skimpy swimsuits rising out of a swimming pool or portraying a sexy mermaid. offcourse 'you' get the job because you got the physical attributes that fit the movie/image. Miss winfrey, Adele, and many more woman have their fame and achievements thanks to other character qualities.

So be it, live and let live.

I don't see Jerry Springer or Oprah complaining that everybody in the world has an opinion. Their shows only excist because of that.

Nobody is holding a gun to one's head demanding them to do what they do. If you don't like wearing less clothes, then don't take them off and thus don't get paid. Get a office job then.

also, I find it funny she says SS is has such great female characters and mocks superheroine costumes, all the while Harley Quinn has her cleavage out and her booty shorts. That's sooo much less sexist than Fox or MCU's intelligent women in full body suits.

Does Cara Delevinge has a huge part as Enchantress?

All I see is pictures of her at movie premieres, events, hanging out with Taylor Swift etc....

Which makes me think her role is not that big.

And it kinda make sense.....she is not seen in any of the leaked set pictures of SS.

Most of the cast is busy filming on set except Cara.

I think Enchantress is going to be a minor character.

Yeah that's what confused me too. Hell even Cara is wearing a bikini type thing as Enchantress!

Booty shorts, jumpsuits, I don't give a ****. A good character is a good character.

In interviews, she doesn't come off as all that bright...I was practically cringing at some of the stuff she said in the Graham Norton interview.
Saying Paper Towns was this and that, and when Norton contradicted her, she didn't know what to say.

But still, she's cute and hot, so I like her :)

Yeah, Marvel Studios have preferred to design less sexist costumes for all their female characters, sometimes they have even revised the "look" of the
character

In comparison DC female character's costumes look sexist. I wonder how feminists would react to DC women characters.

That's up for debate. Is a skin-tight costume not sexist when there are gratuitous shots of Black Widow's ass in every movie? I don't give a crap myself, but let's not pretend that the Marvel movies are perfect in this regard.

They're not perfect, but she specifically called out the costuming, so it was a pretty dumb comment with the costumes in this movie

So what would people have an Amazonian warrior wear? If anything they've actually made WWs costume a bit more modest that a warrior of that period would wear!
Harley Quinn... well, can't really say anything about that costume - but Enchantress... how the hell can anyone tell what the costume she's wearing is like!?!

DC should be more like Marvel and not use gratuitous sexuality in their movies!

Showing skin does not equate to sexism. It's about presentation. As one person already alluded to, a skin tight body suit can be deemed sexist if presented in such a way. And there is nothing even remotely sexist about Gal's WW suit.

Women in catsuits are hotter, to me, than women in bikinis. Don't get ne started on skintight leather pants.

okay so you use the two scenes in all 11 films featuring a bit of female skin, and one of those two scenes didn't even make it into the movie... not helpin your point here

I'm pretty sure that the Gamora shot didn't even make it into the theatrical cut (instead, it was a shirtless Rocket Raccoon).

Actually, if anything Marvel seems to be more fond of male fanservice, given how they keep writing in thinly-veiled excuse for Chris Hemsworth and Pratt to take their shirts off, and for Chris Evans to wear tight-fitting shirts that also show off his physique.

You and Jake Cassidy should get matching tattoos as well.

:o

Reminds me of Amanda Peet in how she promotes her movies. I think she's going to get annoying fast.
