It was nice to see Carnage cut loose and be his crazy, violent self, but I agree, the ending was a bit of a letdown. I wonder if this was the last of the Carnage minis or if Zeb Wells has more planned.
It wasn't as good as Wells' previous Carnage mini. I also had an issue with the fact that there's just way too many extraneous symbiotes floating around in it. But it was still okay.
I thought the first four issues were fantastic, but the fifth felt like they wrapped up everything because they had to. I really enjoyed seeing Carnage taking over the entire town, it was creepy and sadistic.
I read the first 4 issues and never got around to finishing the last one, but I liked those 4 just fine. I liked the inclusion of a lot of the symbiotes but hated what they did with the 4 from Lethal Protector (I dont' think the chick was one of them). I liked that they had become Hybrid and then when Hybrid was separated I thought it'd be cool seeing them separate again. What they actually did with them was sorta lame though, in my opinion.
The chick was from the previous Carnage mini. She was involved in the project to turn the Carnage symbiote into revolutionary prosthetics (by what I can only assume is the single dumbest company in the history of the world). Things went awry, as they are wont to do, and she wound up bonded to Carnage's offspring symbiote.
I actually wasn't talking about her. I was saying I didn't think the red and yellow symbiote girl was one of them that formed Hybrid. I see now that I wasn't clear in my wording.
