Cast the Marvel Universe (80's Edition)

Cast the Marvel Universe with actors from the 1980's. I've seen previous threads like this and always enjoyed them. However, I could find them wanted to start a fresh one, inspired by the recent "Cast the Marvel Universe (70's Edition)" thread.

I'll start it off some Spider-Man supporting characters.

Wow, Jack Lemmon as Uncle Ben, that is absolutely fantastic. It would have been brilliant. I'm sorry that never came to fruition.

These are some of the most perfect casting choices I've ever seen!

What do you think of Tom Skerrit as J. Jonah Jameson? The resemblance was definitely strong, but I don't really think his demeanor or voice were right for the role. In the end, I think Dabney Coleman may have been a much better choice than Skerrit.

A modern Cap movie...

I have just a couple constructive suggestions related to these two choices.

1. I think Dudikoff would be more fitting as Iron Fist

2. If I were to cast any actor from "Raiders of the Lost Ark" to play Red Skull, I'd choose Ronald Lacey (Toht) over Paul Freeman (Belloq).

I'm always open to some constructive rearranging.

Ronald Lacey would have made an awesome Skull. Dudikoff would have made a perfect Danny Rand but for whatever reason, I just picture him as being able to do justice to the role of Cap back then as well. When I thought of actors that were good for action roles back then, he was just stuck in my head as Steve Rogers. Thinking about it now, I think Mr All-American Dennis Quaid could have been great for that as well.

That movie done right would have blown my 8 year old mind away. I loved those guys.

It feels insanely weird that I skipped this post before making my Spidey post and just came across it now. I definitely thought of Kerri Green for MJ, too, and almost went with Havilland Morris (hot redhead that played hot blonde in Sixteen Candles) as well. In the end, it just felt like Kerri had this incredible girl next door quality that didn't quite match up with being the bombshell that my ideal MJ is. Dabney Coleman would have been an awesome Jonah.
