Yeah I've seen those posts, you'll notice i was paraphrasing what he said.

Did you see the tweets where he said "Lantern Can Whup Superman"? and then he comes out with the comments about the mystery character having to be able to go toe to toe with Superman

He never explicitly states that he won't be playing Green Lantern. Why doesn't he straight come out and say "i won't be playing GL" if he isn't playing him?

All he has to say is "Hal Jordan has been stamped, but John Stewart has not", and BAM, he never lied in the first place

I don't believe that he is playing GL, but it's what I'd like to happen.

I think it's just as likely for him to be playing Black Adam, Captain Marvel, or Lobo

The Dog of War, Orion would suit John's parameters. Lobo? Too damn candy assed silly.

Oh man Ackles would be a great choice. I've been catching up on Supernatural and I have no doubt in my mind he has the chops to make it on the silver screen. He's got some really great moments on the show.

I said this before, I'll say it again:

Reynold's lacked bravado, and that's why his Hal fell flat. Pine has swagger, yes, but not bravado. Hal Jordan's essential characteristic is bravado, and Ackles oozes that **** like nobody's business.

Before GL was made I always thought Reynolds would have made a better Flash and Bradley Cooper should have been cast as GL.

Cooper might be a little old now for GL and likely doesn't even want to do the film/or have the time.

Reynolds' personality is MUCH better suited for Flash. Maybe more Wally than Barry, but he could pull off Barry fine.

He was TERRIBLE as Hal/GL though.

can we do a chris evans human torch to captain america thing with ryan reynolds? he's the perfect flash, and we've said that for years even before green lantern came out.

also, i'd like the rock for GL. hell, i think the rock being anyone would be good for the film's exposure and also because he's a really charismatic guy. he's not really right for manhunter; i don't think the writers would waste his persona and draw on the stoic alien guy of the team.

The Timmverse basically made Wally into a cross between Spiderman and Hal Jordan.

Wally's not exactly a serious sam in the comics but he's never been a joking wisecracker like Spidey.

It worked for the cartoon though. But I don't want to see that version on screen. Let Hal bring the levity.
