Casting the DC Universe

That's bound to happen with anything Pattinson is cast in; it's a product of how mindwarping the Twillight marketing to tweens was.

He could use another franchaise role instead of solely being defined by Edward Cullen to the GA.
Oh yeah, when girls act like geeks you call it "mindwarping" :whatever:

Oliver Queen/Green Arrow = Ryan Gosling

Dinah Lance/Black Canary = Jamie King
untitled2.jpg

Eddie Fyers = Fred Weller
untitled3.jpg

Shado = Chiaki Kuriyama
untitled4.jpg

Brick = Ving Rhames
untitled5.jpg

Merlyn = Simon Baker
untitled6.jpg

Constantine Drakon = Jeremy Sisto

Count Vertigo = James Marsters

NOTE: I did decide to cast Oliver as a younger character, because WB/DC tends to do that. If they cast Oliver to be an older man I would cast Simon Baker in the role.
Also I cast Fyers alot differently from how he looks in the comics. Because frankly he just looks like Jim Gordon

Can't stand the idea of jamie King as Black canary. She's just not that good of an actress.

Just saw this again

Ive nvr read a Question comic but I would love to see a Question movie if he was like this

Alex Ross, Kingdom Come
alex ross whose art in heaven hallow be thy name...

as for casting about 5 years ago
lindsay lohan as starfire
missy perygrim for raven
the kid from small soldiers for robin/nightwing
morris chesnut as cyborg
seth green as beast boy

I already posted this in the Teen Titans casting thread, but I thought I'd post it here anyway.

My Teen Titans cast:

Liam Aiken- Nightwing

Alyson Michalka- Starfire

Emily Browning- Raven

Alex D. Linz- Beast Boy

Carly Schroeder- Terra

Ron Perlman- Deathstroke

Patinsson is a hack from what I've seen. I did see Twilight and I willa dmit even tho it was bad it wasnt the worst film I've ever seen. Kirsten Stewart was actually good in it but Pattison cant act his way out of a paper bag.

and about Ryan Gosling turning down JLM. So did Columbus Short and Biel turned down roles too reports are that they thought it was too "popcorn" (coming from the guy who did Stomp the Yard and Stealth :whatever). I can understand that Golsing turned it down if this was true because he's not the "popcorn" type. Now if he turned down BB or TDK then I would guess that he wouldnt take GA. But if a GA movie, not that SuperMax crap, explores dark themes and is treated as more than a superhero movie then I can see him taking it. Because he seems like a guy who doesnt worry about grossing high, he cares abut scripts. But this is all speculation

I thought both Pattinson and Stewart were bad in it. They're both good actors but terrible script + terrible story = Terrible film.

Though I'm on the fence about Jamie King, I think Charlize Theron would be a much better Black Canary. An Oscar winning actress whose had experience in action films. She's been in the Italian Job, Aeon Flux, and Hancock; okay forget the latter two but she's still a great action actress.

And for The Question, even though I don't think he'll take it, I think Johnny Depp would own the role as The Question.

Depp would be an interesting choice for question. I could see it working. It would be right up his alley for odd/strange films.

My problem with Depp in that role is I have a hard time seeing him pulling off the subtle dry wit of The Question. 15 years ago, I would have said Bruce Campbell. Now, I'd say go with the clone of Bruce Campbell and go with Nicholas Brendan from Buffy. I think it's time for him to do something else.

Superman: Brandon Routh
Batman: Christian Bale
Wonder Woman: Cobie Smulders
Flash (Barry): Patrick Wilson
Flash (Wally): Scott Porter
Green Lantern (Hal): Bradley Cooper
Green Lantern (John): Erik King
Martian Manhunter: Peter Mensah

I love that Johnny Depp as Question manip...
Depp would be so awesome.
I can imagine how well he'd play the conspiracy theory type.

Yea he would probably do very well with the role, he does love doing those odd characters. Also what about the guy who played the question's voice in jlu? i know his name has been thrown out before.

Jeffery Combs, but he's a little old. 10 years ago he would have been ok.

There are just too many scary similarities with these two pictures.

Seems as if Adam Hughes was inspired by Annie Leibovitz Vanity Fair 2004 cover. More of her famous covers can be found here...

Anyone got any suggestions on who would make a good Damian Wayne, I'm working on a manip and the only person I could think of was Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick. But I think he is to young.
