I like Shia Labeouf for The Blue Beetle.

Sorry I didn't look at it that way. My knowledge of the character come from Batman The Brave & The Bold series. I was unaware of his heritage.
I still like Shia for the role with that being the case, he fits The Brave & The Bold take on the character very well. IMHO

I don't know who should play each character in the Metal Men movie,
but when they make one they should use the same FX used to create Dr. Manhattan in the Watchmen movie:

So, like Manhattan in Watchmen, Each Metal Man will be a real actor wearing one of those suites. Then, using CG and other FX, use their likeness, acting, gestures, facial expressions and movements, and all that, so its actually them acting, but alter them so they can look like the Metal Men as well.
