He's only half an inch shorter than most of other males and Plastic Man is supposed to be all stretched out anyway so it doesn't matter if he's a bit taller than everyone else. By comparison

I just had a very similar thought while I watched Smallville last night wondering if Ollie would ever grow "The Beard" on that show. While I think Ollie should remain (at least somewhat) blonde, I do agree that the beard should probably just be fake and part of the GA disguise.

As to who should play him, well, I like Alexander Skarsgård, but I don't get a Green Arrow vibe from him. I could sooner see him as Steve Rogers than Oliver Queen. Green Arrow should have a classic, dashing leading man vibe to him, imo, while still obviously being capable of being a cad. Which is why my #1 pick would currently be:

Fassbender. Great actor, charming as hell. Plus, regardless of whether they make it fake or real, we at least know he can rock the facial hair:

Fassbender. Is. Green Arrow.

I'd be cool with an older Lex too.


Lex's age was never really a problem, just his persona.

Hamm's Lex parody was just that - a parody. Obviously, if he were seriously playing the role, it would be completely different.

But if they want an older Lex, then I agree with the Viggo suggestion.

Actually, you don't have any clue who will be in the casting list. If Nolan has any decision whatsoever over who is Superman, even more so. Hamm definitely won't, unfortunately, if they're doing an origin. I really like Bomer, but he IS a little too short.

Matt Bomer as Superman

He's got the looks. He's got the talent. I am more than 100% aware of his height, but I'm sure if they work some movie magic on him, he'll look tall in no time.

Christian Bale as Batman

Already cast. Weird voice or not, Bale is a great Batman.

Bridget Regan as Wonder Woman

Watch Legend of the Seeker and you'll see why I chose her.

Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern II (Hal Jordan)

Already cast. And I wouldn't want it any other way.

Kevin McKidd as Aquaman

He's a fan favorite and I've got nothing.

He can play an alien very well, can he?

For me with superman i totally hope they get a solid cast this go around. Character wise i think they character should be anywhere between 24-28yrs old. Probably leaning towards being around 28 myself. So they could say he went to school and maybe spent a few yrs doing freelance work around the world before coming to metropolis. Then as for actors i want to see all new folks here. And we know with how casting goes it will probably be unknown/semi knowns between 24-32 yrs old probably.

That's a great cast apart from Aquaman (Dunno who the actor is), Optimus. As awesome as Doug Jones is, I'm not sure about him for Manhunter. Even with prosthetics... he's just way too skinny. Manhunter's not some oddball crit that communicates only with movement, so that's not an issue.

well i do like james myself, what if he was barry and not wally, cause for me i still say they will go with barry first, then wally who would probably be a supporting player first then be flash but probably alot younger like late teens/early 20s like someone around anton yelchin age.
