Nolan will cast someone completely unexpected and out of the box as Brainiac, if Nolan is the one doing the casting.

NPH wouldn't convince me as a superhero. He's too small and unimposing.
Maybe a lesser known hero or villain. Besides the small thing I could see him as Barry.

Plus there's no reason Barry would have to be as muscular as Bale was for Batman, he just needs to look pretty fit.
