Formal whenever I can. Feel much better in a suit than anything else I'd wear

T-shirt and jeans is the way to go!

Can't stand wearing a shirt and tie.

I wish we would dress up like in Mad Men. Awesome suits!

Who says you can't? Men apparently used to dress like that all the time, if old movies and TV shows are to be believed. Bring it back! Get your ass an awesome suit and wear it today!

I'm gonna grab a polo shirt and black jeans, though.

I'm more of a causal dresser. My friends however dress like this. Most, if not all of my friends are African-American and try to dress "different than thuggish" but sadly enough, they just come out as a hipster. :csad:

I dress nice every time I walk out the door but I mix it up...here is what my wardrobe looks like...

Colored fitted dress shirt (white, blacks, red, royal blue,burgandy/grey/purple/turqoise/blue
Black/Brown sport coat (pocket square matching what ever color shirt), black peacoat, Denim dark wash jacket
Blue/black/grey low rise straight leg jeans
black boots/brown shoes
Silver/black/brown leather accessories (watch,bracelet,necklace)
black/brown leather belt (black/silver belt buckles to match the accessories)
V-neck fitted solid color t-shirts
V-neck Black/Red/Grey sweaters
Zip up turtleneck polo sweaters (so comfy!)

pretty much it for now this fall/winter

What do you mean? You've never seen a black Hipster?

I've seen the odd picture and a few on TV, but never in person, and never a group who takes their clothing to extremes like leopard-print tights and cowboy boots. That's fine and well if you're a member of Funkadelic, but you shouldn't be dressing like that to walk down the street. It violates every tenor of contemporary casual fashion I've ever come to know and respect.

Welcome to the world of pretentious hipsters.

Maybe my style is a little out of date and old. Whenever I dress to impress, give me slacks, a button-up shirt, sweatervest, and maybe a necktie. On a regular day, I like to dress sorta business casual with jeans.

See, that's how you dress to walk down the street without having to be a thug. By dressing like a respectable human being, and not the lovechild of Bootsy Collins and David Bowie.

Yep! My friends learn't that a LONG time ago. They dress bright and snappy which I don't mind. I actually enjoy it. I enjoy being the only white guy in a group of snappy dressed up black men. :oldrazz:

Not all black men where the same clothing but what you where is what I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing.

lol... it all depends man... I'm not wearing a three piece for watching TV, or grabbing a bite to eat at applebees on a Tuesday night....

Work Week - Dress up.... Dress Pants, taylored shirt, nice polished shoes, watch...
Work Weekend - Work Pants, and work issued t-shirt... if it's hot, then no shirt

Going out to a nice club or regular dinner - Nice shoes, nice jeans, straight bottom dress shirt untucked

Going out to a fancy fancy dinner - Sports Jacket, dress pants, shirt, tie (optional), dress shoes

Laying around at home, eating spagetti, or Ramon... Workout pants/shorts, T-shirt, no socks or shoes.

all depends man

Because I'm a cheapskate, most of my wardrobe is purchased from Sears under the Structure line. When I have money, I get a couple things from like Express Men or whatever.

Boston Store for me.... goodwill sale....

my favorite brand right now is Lucky... actually, has been for the last 6 years

Casual. I rarely ever wear anything formal unless there's some kind of party or event happening. I wish I could pull the formal thing off more often, but I'm just so uncomfortable in that kind of clothes.

I get my clothes from Burlington Coat Factory. Because why pay full price for the same clothes?
