I saw the episode just a while ago and have been reading the posts. Everything I loved has already been said many times. The action was awesome, and the story was so much deeper then previous episodes. This is the first episode I have really sunk into. The Goblin was so fast, which made the action incredible. One shot I remember was like; GG threw razor-bats at Spidey, and he jumps behind a table and then flips it to sheild against a pumpkin bomb. I also liked the Tombstone "irony" talk. I don't know what it was, but something really got me when Harry broke the cups of punch. Best episode by far.

And at least SSM has the balls to throw Gwen Stacy in there. The 90s show didnt have the nerve.

they did in one of the last episodes with the spidermen from parallel diemensions. She was from the diemsion where spiderman was like a tony stark rich and powerful guy.

Yeah, lol. I mean, I love Spider-Man: TAS, but that was one of the few flaws about the show.

I'm re-watching the episode and can't help but laugh at the restaurant that Harry is taking the group to: "Le Hissy Fit". Seems appropriate.

This show is geared more towards kids than the 90's show was.

There is no way they are going to kill off Gwen or anyone else for that reason. Nor will they give Harry a drug problem.

Please explain? This is probably more mature then the other Spidey shows. Other then the nostalgia of the early shows they lacked intense drama IMO. Some episodes had it but most episodes didn't...

Actually, Dread (great review as always by the way), there may be some evidence that Harry DOES in fact know about his father's business dealings with Tombstone. In the last episode, Harry walked in on Norman right when he was having a meeting with Hammerhead about his working with the Big Man and how he's profiting on making and incarcerating super-villains, in which Norman quickly ordered his son out of the room. The scene ended with Harry having a very sinister looking smile on his face after his dad closed the door behind him. Taking this scene and this week's episode, it wouldn't be hard to argue that Harry has been eavesdropping on his father conversations for who knows how long. Perhaps, if Harry is the Green Goblin, his going after Tombstone would be his way of trying to win his father's approval, the same reason he tried out for Football and started hanging out with the popular kids. Wouldn't surprise me if this was the case if the show does indeed decide to make Harry the first Green Goblin instead of Norman.

I just think if Harry were the GG, he would have crashed the M3 dance. Why would he bother with a gala all the way across town just for L.T.?

Harry may be involved, but at this point I see it as a 90's series esque red herring. S-SM is simply doing a better job of it.

BTW, lots of breaking glass in this episode. You don't see that alot in cartoons now.

Please. He threw more punches in the Natural Selection episode of SSM than he did in all five seasons of SMTAS combined, lol.

Carnage: I hope not, he's pure 90s AKA a worthless char.

As for the 90s show and Electro, I'm not against re-inventing a char (just look at how Batman: TAS turned D-Listers like Clayface and Freeze into A-Listers by reinventing them) so I was okay with what they did with Electro. I mean a guy with that kind of power would be a real world-class threat in the hands of the right guy, they even showed this in the comics when Loki took over Electro's body once and he beat up all the Avengers.
