Yeah I agree with Octoberist. James looks actually a lot younger than Channing.

I can see him pull off a 25-27 year old age range easily and with a bit more make up and different clothes even a 21 year old. It's not that great of a strecth is it?

I dont think Tatum is THAT bad. He isn't great, but he's better that some others in Hollywood. Now as for him as Jackie.... well, I'm not too sure about that, he does have the playboy looks, but I can't see him being a really dark character, let alone one who's name is The Darkness!

I know this is a very ''cliche'' choice, but I always pictured a young Johnny Depp as Jackie.(I usually dont want him for any roles, but this one)

Okay. This is an odd choice. Now, I'm not a Tatum hater or anything, and think he has a future as an action star but The Darkness really seems an eyebrow raising choice. Like many of you, I figured Milo Ventimiglia would be the one to nab the role of Jackie Estacado, but hey I'm willing to give him a chance.

Channing doesn't look like Jackie at all and would look stupid with long, black hair...don't forget he's a bad actor, too.

It is not possible for someone to be perfect for Duke AND Jackie. A great actor could pull it off, but Tatum cant play a convincing corpse.

I hope so. He was perfect in the game. Sadly though, with Channing cast, this will probably be PG-13.

No I think they'll go with a R-rating if Witchblade does and that's what they are eying. The Darkness wouldn't be worth worth watching if it weren't an R rating.

I hate to even evoke the name TDK, but if they need to make this PG-13, that would be the flick to emulate. Though the comic isn't always as serious as that, due to the Darklings and some of the comedy stemming from Jackie not being able to have sex.

True, but with the blood and possible gore it seems like they would be pushing it beyond it's limits. It could still work but not as effective.
