Chapter 19 - ".07%" - Clip(s) & Discussion

no that was Sylar. I think this was the first time we had any type of confirmation that Linderman has connection with Primatech.
But he already knew of Sylar, because he heard it from the female FBI agent in his very first appearance on the series in episode 2. She said only 6 people knew the name of Sylar and then put him under arrest.

I think Mysterio's right, he heard Linderman in the parking lot of Primatech.

lmao @ noobs who never read it saying it's not a ripoff

yeah to my nephew I "invented" "you smelt it you dealt it" because he's never heard that before

reading is FUNdamental

Sorry but you are wrong.

First off Moore stole tons when he created watchman so he hardly created the idea as you are attempting to spin it.

Second correct me if I am wrong but doesn't NY blow up in watchman? because that is NOT going to happen in Hero's so yeh umm similarities sure a ripoff hardly.

So perhaps you should take your own advice and RIF and you would know Moore hardly created the idea kktnx.

who cares? you like the show, you don't like the show. this is a discussion thread about the show and a particular episode.

Just realized something...we just got confirmation that Linderman (or his cabal) is the head of "primatech" when Candace was used to lure Micah away. I think we had already figured that out, but as far as I know, this was our first confirmation on the show.

The echoing commanding voice he used on Isaac.

Justin - “Did Sylar succeed in stealing Eden McCain's power of persuasion ability? I only ask because Sylar's voice briefly echoed hers in the episode 'Distractions.'” Nope. That was just our friends in Editorial slowing down the scene from poor Sandra Bennet’s POV. Eden heroically killed herself before Sylar could take her ability. It was her last heroic act.

Eden's powered voice and Sylar/Peter's scary-sound-effect voice are too close. It's confusing.

Well there has to be a reason for it. If not Eden, then what?

I'm not saying they aren't similar, I'm saying it's not confusing.

I know you might be able to say that Sylar was just seeing red at the point in which he was about to devour Peter's powers...but, his super-hearing should have prevented him from being hit by Mohinder's charge. What's going on really? When Peter made himself invisible...Sylar should have heard Peter's heart beat...breathing...a floor board squeaking. Did the writer's forget they gave him that power?

let's put it context. as far as continuity goes, just minutes before Sylar had been strapped down and Mohinder had used the tuning fork on him. Sylar hasn't mastered the power yet. but...he did hesitate after levitating the glass shards...so maybe he was listening?

i thought that's how he knew where peter was when he turned invisible. I think he was "power hungry" when Mohinder caught him. Or maybe his powers don't work automatically, maybe he can only use one at a time. We haven't seen him use 2 powers simutaneously right?

So if its not eden why the hell does Sylar talk like that

^That's what I mean when I say it's confusing. Why use an effect that was already introduced for a very specific purpose? They're using the voice to signify Eden's power, Sylar's slow-mo approach to Mrs. Bennett, and angry bad-assery. It's especially confusing when they use the voice over a command; Peter yells "Don't lie to me!" to Issac and Sylar says "Tell me!" to Issac in the voice. Peter and Sylar are the only other supers that could utilize Eden's power, so their being the only two characters that use the special-effect-voice is even stranger.

NOOOO!!!!:wow:

I want to be GOOD!!!

C'mon Nathan, find the Light Side...turn it around for all of us!!! :csad:

I think he will by the end of the season. Nathan is still my favorite character, he hasn't done anything that isn't understandable.

Unrelated thought:
They need someone to work on the dialogue, sometimes it's atrocious.

Heroes is great, but sometimes it's horribly corny. When Sylar awoke and discovered the list was gone? Come on, hahah.

I watched episode 18 earlier (had it on my computer since it aired weeks ago, just didn't have the motivation to watch it) and reasonably enjoyed it. This show finally has another character I can like, the new Scarlet Which/Mystique character. Hiro and Radioactive Man being the other two. And with 17 being pretty decent aswell, I though maybe this show was starting to get good at last.

But alas, no. 19 was another episode without imagination. Linderman and Mrs Petrelli having powers will blindingly obvious. And even the dumbest viewer knew Peter wasn't dead. (Sadly. Surely I can't be the only one who finds him ridiculuosly annoying) So did we really need go through the whole grieving process?

And Future Hiro is laughable, he's meant to be all badass and cool, but simply adding a pony tail and soul patch is so half arsed. Might aswell have given him stubble, a cigar and a war wound.

Sylar is the lamest villain of recent memory. While showing us just how mega evil he is by killing murdering Peter with mind bullets, he forgets he's got super hearing and lets Mo... Mo... Mohinda? sneak up on him and take him out with a pinboard. So much for the guy who walked off a gunshot. But then maybe pinboards are his kryptonite.

Why does this show do something I like then follow it up with trash? It's like being in an abusive relationship, I want to like it but I can't. But I can't stop watching because of a few likable characters.

Perhaps you should watch something alittle less complex, like The Next Pussycat Doll.

Consider this--Sylar has just come up against someone who actually gives him a challenge. Not only did Peter immediately heal from the wound, but he flung Sylar across the room, and then turned invisible. Here, Sylar was faced with someone with multiple abilites, and he was bound to be racking his brain trying to think of a way to subdue Peter. He was distracted. I'm sure there have been instances you were so focused in on something that you didn't hear something happen near you, happens to everyone.

From nbc/heroes website:

While staking out Primatech, Matt admits to Audrey that he'd feel like a "chump" if he goes back to his wife. She tells him to grow up and forgive her. They spy Mr. Bennett emerging from the building to have a chat with the Haitian. Matt recognizes him as the man who was at the bar the night he was abducted. Matt tries to read a thought, but only gets one word - Sylar - before blood drips thickly from his nose.
