Key word. You're not. Never have been. Never had a good thing to say about the show since your first post in these forums. You're not the only naysayer, but you're the most annoying one, and I've been calling you out since that first post of yours in here I read. Notice that you're the only one I ever "call out". All the others are fans that evolved gripes. You have ONLY had gripes since the beginning.

Not only were you never a fan, you became a moderator here. It's like hiring a Camaro driver to moderate a Mustang forum. There's just something inherently wrong about that.

Also, I'd really like to know why it is, the government has filed on Micah (as Nathan showed the President), Nathan knew Micah exisited from personal experience (Linderman's plot), as did HRG, if I remember right...but no one in the entire top secret government agency said..."Hey, we have this kid who can control computers! Maybe he is Rebel!" I'm not even going to discuss how laughable it is that a 12 year old is manipulating multiple government officials, people, etc and conducting his own private war, as I'll let that go on suspension of disbelief.

I'm pretty sure no one realized the extent of Micah's powers, nor would anyone suspect a kid that young. The fact that you are saying its ridiculous despite the fact the show always established that Micah is a boy genius kinda proves that.

I liked Daphne a lot. I think she added something the show was drastically missing in season 2. Fun.

As for Angela...y'know, I never really liked her...at all. It was like, "get over your cryptic bull **** and pick a side." Then this volume came around and really established her and she came into her own in my opinion. She has become one of my favorites.

I wasn't partial to the "nemesis" thing between Hiro and Daphne. But I did think the romance between Matt and Daphne was interesting, because she raised a good point in the last ep--does he love her because he's seen the future and is "destined" to love/marry her? Or otherwise? To me, their relationship always seemed very contrived (Matt wanting to establish a relationship with her in the first place because it was foretold that they were to marry or whatever), but that's just my opinion.

And as for Angela, I was always a fan. Maybe it's the powerful, manipulative older woman thing, but I really dig her character. I liked seeing the flashbacks with Arthur, too, because you saw the vulnerability as well. To me, she's like an HRG--you're never really sure where either of them stand. They're both more tainted than innocent, and don't have a problem with the politics.

Although I don't like Daphne's death (much like DL's), I think it has more to do with the numbers game. It appears that Matt will be reconnecting with his wife and son, so the writer's may not have wanted to have too many characters/story arcs like they did in season 2.

I felt like, rightly or wrongly, they did away with Daphne because they wanted to take Matt's story arc in a different direction. Now, there's other ways of going about this without killing off Daphne, but he was just so dead set on them being together that I get the feeling that this was part of why they killed her. Just a thought.

that and, considering the kids computer and electronic manipulation abilities, how do you not know he changed his own description of powers? He could have his records changed to say he can mentally control Hamsters or something. That way the hunters underestimate him, and he's not labeled a high priority threat?

I have disagree with some of this. Yes, more often than not Matt has many negatives things to say about this. I like others wonder why he is still watching it but that is no longer the point. If you wanna watch a show that you can't stand then so be it. However when he writes his reviews there is a sharing of both the things he liked and disliked about the episode. Are there more negatives then positives in there? Most of the time yes. Does it matter anymore? NO. We always say to the people that criticize this show to watch something else if they don't like it. I would like to submit that we do the same with negative posts. If you don't like them ignore them. You don't have to read them. It is really not that difficult to skip over something that is negative especially if you are expecting from the same poster over and over. Wasting *****ing at people who speak negatively about the show, expressing THEIR opinion I might add, is as a big a waste of time as the people who watch the show that they hate just to complain about it. It's getting ridiculous now. You see a post by Matt you know it is most likely something you are not going to agree with so just skip over it instead rehashing the continous loop of a bad song that no one requested to hear. You are not gonna change his attitude or stance on this show so why waste the time. I do not need to see this every single episode:

See how annoying that is. While more often than not I don't agree with all of Matt's opinions they are his opinions and I am not gonna waste energy anymore saying that all he does is complain about crap on this show.Sometimes I even enjoy his reviews as they are broken down well and he even gives reason to justify what he did not like. That being said back on topic.

i like her character, shes not tied down by family or mental issues as Nikki was. so shes much more interesting and more adaptable.

although this ep. did hint towards her possiblly becoming more of a mother figure to Micah.


i was so tense when Angela was trapped in the lift. (my fav character).

What he's doing is annoying in its own right. I actually held back for many months, but his incessant chirping like a nagging wife to a beleaguered show got old a long time ago.

I liked the scene where she gets out of the car and just blends in, grabbing that random guy and asking to share the umbrella. Smart lady.

I actually never liked Tracy that much as she was always way too self-centered and self-serving. My favorite characters are usually the ones looking to use their powers to help people, like Micah. You can even see the difference when Tracy sets Rebel up but only feels bad that it turns out to be Micah while Micah is horrified that she would do that to anyone. But like you said, it looks like Tracy and Micah might get closer if she returns, and her interaction with Micah this episode is one of the things that helped me view her more as a character with a lot of promise instead of just an excuse to bring Ali back while keeping Niki dead.

Ummm did you forget that his photo was part of the files for gathering the meta-humans? His photo was shown twice, once with Nathan and president or congressman in the limo and again at the HQ hunters.

Yeah, it's more likely that they overlooked him because of his age I think. Even a lot of people here assumed it was more likely to be someone like Angela. Not to mention there are some characters that have had similar powers like Hana, and there are probably more technopaths out there then just Micah just like there is more then one empath out there.

Everyone knew rebel was Micah so that reveal was not shocking. They then kill of Daphne which was utterly pointless after keeping her on for 3 or 4 episodes after she was shot. They copied Watchmen and now they blatantly copied Superman Returns. Ando and Hiro were the only two characters holding back this episode from utter greatness. This was the best episode this volume and last volume of course. The directing for this episode was top notch and it I wish Bryan didn't have to tie up the idiotic loose ends left by the plots that are already in place. But, I have to admit that Daphne's death was a surprise and it was really heartfelt and of course perfectly directed...it was a tear jerker.

I hear ya. Angela could still have a hand in it, however--she could be providing guidance to Micah or communicating with him on some level.

Just an all around BEAUTIFULLY shot episode. I still feel great after watching it, one of the best since the end of the first season.

I agree 100%. Easily one of the most beautifully shot episodes of any tv show on today.

I dunno, I thought he had some degree of control over consciously absorbing powers...like before when he interacted with Matt, he never drew his power until they stormed the agency building.

Definately one of my favorite parts. That and when she took the umbrella of the woman she asked for help from

I don't like how people interpret Tracey's "wink". It was anything but that to me; she shed a tear and blinked. That was all.

Anyway, I could care less that Daphne is dead, but it was touching. Same with Tracy. Loved Micah coming back, and it wouldn't surprise me if he is operating totally independent. After all, he had such high strung hopes of having a super hero family, and since they're gone, only he can go down that road. If he is working with anyone, I'd only assume Monica to a degree.

Hiro and Ando were simply great. I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while from their antics, of which I don't mind at all when it is carried out in that fashion.

Only thing I was disappointed with was Sylar getting Doyle and giving him to Danko, who btw is my least favorite character on this show right now. I can't wait until he is killed. He's a crappy hunter if you ask me. Overall best episode of this volume.
