I think it was excellent movie. I gave it 9 out of 10.

And did you like it?

Definitely liked it. But was also surprised by it after my first viewing; not what I expected.

Thought it was boring. Didn't really like the lead actress.

I've only seen it once, and that was ages ago. I'd have to watch it again to rate it fairly.

I love it :) Jason lee is great as always in Smith movies :D

Yah, that was really super-scene. Especially when she tells him the truth about your school's days :D

Silent Bob Speaking

He spoke in all the movies, it's just in the other ones there were mostly one-line/short stuff, while Chasing Amy gave him a frickin' monologue.

I can't think of one actress who's more likable and lovely than Joey Lauren Adams. Are you of the Kevin Spacey persuasion?

I think she was nice and Spacey is my favorite actor!

Kevin Smith's best and one of the best of the 90s.

It's the best made film from the View Askew Universe. Plus Jason Lee and the 'Fleck together kick ass.

Has anyone besides me ever tried to tell a girl that speech Holden gives in the scene when he and Alyssa are in the car?

Nah. It wouldn't work. As I once said well in character under the username Holden McNeil in a thread in reponse to advice given by a poster for a man who wanted to date a lesbian:

Holden McNeil said:
Sorry man, that speech won't work. I mean, I know it worked in my case but c'mon! It was me pouring my heart out, not orally reading something I memorized from a Kevin Smith movie.

I think it's Smith's best flick. For once Jay and Silent Bob aren't cartoon versions of themselves, and that Soul Asylum track at the end presents a convincing argument that Soul Asylum are quite good.

I love the first thirty or so minutes of this movie. If you've ever been to a comic convention, you'll laugh your head off. Once the whole romance thing kicks in, I think the movie loses a lot, but its still solid. Just not great.
