If you're willing to spend some time, there are sites that give away points for answering surveys, participating on forums, etc.
The problem is, usually the price to redeem points you've earned towards cards/etc tends to increase as more people register. So you usually have to get on board with a site early and earn credit quick.
Anyways, you're probably going to get swamped with referral links now
Just be sure to use a spam email address if you decide to go the survey route. The forum route are sites like Xbox Faces and the sort.
There was a 1600 points for ~$16 deal a few months ago. Amazon had 4000 points for $40 (saves $10) recently. If you need points, Amazon has them at a slight discount.
Cheapassgamer is a fantastic site, highly recommended. I've saved a good amount of cash by being a memebr and visiting the forums there.
They've got a nice price tracker feature, too. You put the price at which you'd like to pay for a game, and when it gets to the price you set it at they will email you. I'm not sure if it's only on games, though.
