If it is Mark in the end, he'll have my support (Still wishing for Tennant!)

Did you know he worked with Iron Man...

Great choice. Ruffalo should have been Banner from the get go. I prefer him over both Bana and Norton.

I think Ruffalo is a really interesting choice. His performance in Eternal Sunshine comes to mind.

Adrien brody is starting to grow on me, this may sound dumb but I'm having a hard time getting past his nose.

lmao...your kidding right? sorry i know you have your right to your opinion but that's just a ridiculous statement. mark is ok i guess but id prefer ed back.

on that note...are they going to change the appearance of the hulk again for the 3rd time? i mean what happened to continuity? do they think the audience and fans won't notice this? so much for tying the movies together.

id also like to know if mark will play banner again in another hulk sequel? or are they going to reboot it a 3rd time! :cmad:

marvel really dropped the ball with this one. i mean who's next on the cutting block?

I suppose Ruffalo is ok. I would prefer Michael C Hall to play Banner if Norton isn't coming back.

actually seeing him here next to RDJ... who he's about the same height as(maybe even slightly shorter)... is kind of a plus... in terms of fitting in with the cast... I mean RDJ is only like 5'9", CE as Cap. is 6', CH as Thor is 6'3"... (where Norton was around 6'+)... it kinda puts everyone in proportion.. where him and Dowey will make Chris an Chris look much taller (as Cap. is suppose to be about 6'3" and Thor 6'6")

Adrien Brody might be starting to grow on you, but his nose is starting to grow on him.

I'm not sure if Ruffalo seems intense enough. He seems a fairly laid back, likeable sort of guy that everyone would get along with and the chicks might even dig, which isn't what Banner is.

Ruffalo isn't quite right for banner. He maybe better for pym.

Ed norton all the way.your lying to yourself if you think he's not the one. hey but thats my opinion.

I'm disappointed it's not going to be Norton. I like him in the role and I especially liked his obvious love for the history and character. I liked him before but he made a fan of me with all that. All the cool homages he put into the film; from having the guy who voiced Hulk in the '60's cartoon make a guest spot as the pizza parlor owner (he was also Hermie the Dentist in Rudolph too) to having Ferrigno in there to even doing a little homage to Bill Bixby (I especially liked that), to using just a smidge of the TV show theme (they should've done more in my opinion). The problem with that movie was the video game looking ending, not Norton himself. I guess once he's Hulk it doesn't matter too much who's playing Banner, but I'll miss Edward.

Why are people still championing Norton? This isn't idle speculation, he's confirmed to no longer be in the film.

No.

Ruffalo looks okay to be picked as a replacement, but he's not as good of a choice as Norton was. Bana...he just shouldn't even had been considered; but it was Ang Lee directing the 2003 film, so of course someone like Bana would've be cast as Banner, lol...or whatever the other last name he was given in that movie.

But I have a suggestion...well, it's a weird one, as I don't know the guy's name, haha...there's an episode of Criminal Minds called "3rd Life", and the other dad in the episode who's daughter was missing(and she ended up dying), the guy who played the father looked just like Bill Bixby and it was so uncanny...he would be perfect for the role, imo.

And a side-note, the other dad was played by Fedric Lehne, the guy who also played Azazel on Supernatural...and he is purely evil on that series, lol.

Ruffalo seems to have a Bana vibes, not a very good thing...

still doesn't make a lick of sense to me why you would even bother filming TIH and buidling a shared movieverse if you're going to be so quick to recast

unprofessional, but this has all been said already

I've been waiting to chime in this forum about the casting (if you don't have anything nice to say...), but I like this news about Ruffalo. He's very good at playing likeable, but he's talented and has shown range in his roles. I haven't seen his full body of work, but I've seen enough to know he is very capable of carrying this particular part. His work in Zodiac really shows his ability to fit in with an ensemble, but also carry a lot of weight against such presence as RDJ. And so what if he's got "Bana vibes"? I thought Ang Lee's incredibly overbearing direction (micromanaging the actors' performances) was the problem with 2003's Hulk? There was nothing wrong with the casting of Bana.

I guess I can see him as Banner. Still would've liked for Norton to be back but oh well.

just get sam rockwell he is in with marvel anyway. they like to keep the cast "in house" so to speak. he played nerdy science guy before. im sure he would leave iron man to play the banner. also depp would be good too he is in with disney, just a thought.

Uh huh. So you're suggesting an obscure actor in an episode of that one tv show who resembles Bill Bixby.

Not ever gonna happen.

Actually it was Lou ferigno who voiced hulk in the movie and in the 90s cartoons, not the 60s.

Continuity wise this is a disaster. Mark Ruffalo looks nothing like Edward Norton. They just don't have even remotely the same bone structure.

However, with that said, I think that Mark Ruffalo is a talented actor who (had I not saw Norton previously in the roll) I think would make an excellent Bruce Banner. As NightRaven had pointed out though in one of these threads, Bruce Banner has had many different appearances throughout the years by different artists. Therefore, I think he will do fine as Banner. Once again my only concern being that he does not even look remotely like Norton. Had they chose someone that looked a little more like Norton the General Audience might not have been as inclined to notice the change. Regardless to us fans it will be tough to get over either way.:yay:

Just my thoughts.
