Sci-Fi Chris Pratt joins The Tomorrow War

Transformers 4 and 5.

Fifth one I recommend for a good stupid watch. It opens with Stanley Tucci playing drunk Merlin. Good dumb. Disaster of a movie.
Ah yes, aside from the delightfully non-Bay Bumblebee, the last Transformers movie I saw was Dark of the Moon. I just...couldn't take any more. But I am including big dumb blockbusters on my current July 4th blockbuster marathon, so I'll consider it, lol.

Don’t bother with Crapformers:Age of SuckStinkShun. I beseech you.

Felt like this film garbed a bit of various Science Fiction films. A bit of Terminator, 12 Monkeys, Independence Day, Alien and Starship Troopers.

I liked the Volcano kid set up and pay off.

This was a solid movie. I had fun watching it last night. Expected nothing and got some good entertainment. I call that a win.
Third act was perhaps the worst part of the movie but still ok.
If you enjoy some alien timetravelling scifi movies you can watch this and have a good time.

6.5/10

Don’t forget Edge of Tomorrow

After 4, I didn't even bother with 5. I'm a lousy critic and generally like anything along fantasy/sci fi lines, but I got TASM2 and that piece of garbage back to back and my faith was shaken. I swore I would never, ever, under any circumstances watch a Crapformers movie again. I went back on my word when Bumblebee came out and am glad I did. I also had lived in Santa Cruz and San Francisco and recognizing locations was an added bonus.

To add insult to injury, I paid a premium price for my Crapformers SuckStinkShun ticket at the local Cinemark XD. The only thing that kept me from walking out was the large beer I purchased at the upstairs bar and the knowledge that I had paid $14 for a ticket.

Oh the horrah.....

Had low expectations but I ended up enjoying this movie. I’d give it a 6.5/10

Sucks that only the first three Transformers has Rifftrax.

I can easily sum up why I am not interested in this movie. The wrong main character. Betty Gilpin>>>>> Chris Pratt.

Prolly couldn't find anyone who was willing to work on 4.

I think I'll watch Tomorrow War. The only thing I have to lose is time. I'll be bored someday and flip it on.

This was a pretty decent movie. I actually enjoyed it. Wasn’t expecting much to begin with but I was pleasantly surprised.

It wasn't a bad movie. But there were some really, really questionable plot choices - I know it's sci-fi, but even from a "why did they just do that??" perspective, huge suspension of disbelief required.

I also felt that the third act of the movie was such a shift in tone and aesthetics and mood that it felt tacked on, almost like they went back and reshot some additional bits.

All in all, there's worse ways to pass a few hours if you don't mind some mindless sci-fi action, but don't go in expecting anything intricate.

I enjoyed the initial set up and the first incursion. Then it's like the actual movie started and got really stupid. I didn't mind the shift in the latter half of the film but there's no reason for it to be as long as it is.

Also, sorry to say, Chris Pratt is pretty terrible in this. I couldn't get a read on his expressions for most of the movie outside of the really emotional scenes and his line readings were generally awful.

the most absurd thing was how JK Simmons character was able to get to russian air space and fit all that equipment on that small ass plane lolol

Just watched it...honestly it's just ok. Wasn't bad but wasn't good, an entertaining movie to shut your brain off and watch when you're bored.

Off topic but they need to make a Mass Effect show asap cause Yvonne Strahovski isn't getting younger but she still looks damn good to play a live action Miranda Lawson.

Is it just me or are so many movies these days just plain ugly looking? I think its more of a color grading thing but they just look so....murky? Greenland also looked like this and Fear Street if maybe to a lesser extent on that one.

I felt this movie was alright. It had an interesting plot and theme and the action was alright. So I would probably watch it again but not anytime soon but still it is not the train wreck I was made to believe on the front page. Very surprised on how much I liked it.

This was terrible. The end was so ****ing stupid. Yeah, we could blow up the ship with our bombs and not put anyone’s life in danger but let’s instead try to wipe out an army of these creatures with our six vials of this toxin so we can get everyone killed but our main characters. The Pitch Meeting rightfully ripped this movie to pieces.

The whole point in movies like this is to switch off your brain and enjoy the ride. it seems to me that some of you didn't.... the question is, did you have fun with it, a my answer is simply yes. the most important message in this film is very relatable. all caused from the impact of climate change on the current generation to our kids and Grandchildren

this argument is asinine by definition if i have to turn off my brain to enjoy the movie then the movie is dumb AF

I've never once seen a sci fi movie worth a damn that didn't require some thought. It's not a turn off your brain genre.
