The talente here in the production is way bigger. We won't get something as cheap as that.
Agreed. Also, that scene in X2 always kinda annoyed me, since Wolverine shouldn't be KO'd by a single shot from a 9mm pistol.
Good to know. Hela was amazing but she didn’t have all that much screen time. Maybe Gorr will get more.If i'm not mistaken Cate filmed 1 month for Ragnarok.
While Bale has been filming for 1 and a half months and counting.
I think TLT will be much more Gorr centric with clearly 1 defined and fleshed out antagonist.
Ragnarok had basically 3 villains, Hela, Surtur and The Grandmaster plus those morally grey characters like Loki, Skurge... and to a smaller extent Fenris who was another "boss" to contend with. All of them chipped away for a slice of the pie with Hela's character losing a bit of substance.
Now from what we know regarding TLT there's only Gorr and The Grandmaster. Of course Loki will show up in some capacity but i guess it will be more of a contained thing because he has his own show.
Seems possible. He's probably sticking around for reshoots, since every MCU movie has them.
Baldheaded, barefooted, grey skin dressed in a sleeveless rob. Much in line with his comic counterpart but still very unique and different. I would categorize this as probably Gorr’s “casual look”.He was pictured emerging on set in full costume - a menacing silver ensemble that included a full face prosthetic
…
His supervillain ensemble includes a flowing hooded sleeveless robes that could be seen fluttering in the breeze as Christian crossed the set.
…
Details: The Batman Begins star was covered in prosthetics that gave him deep grey skin on not just his face but also his exposed arms and hands.
…
I was hoping he wouldn't have a nose like in the comics. Now this is pretty big news. Intriguing to see this first look and here are some details from the article.

I hope this is the case! There’s some speculation online that this look from Gorr is probably early on in the film before he bonds with the All-Black Necrosword. It could very well be the case.
Also they filmed on a sandy beach which could be used as a stand in for Gorr’s home world which is described as a “inhospitable desert planet”.
And there where rumors a while back saying that Gorr’s appearance was going to change throughout the film with.

Hard to say if it could be the headdress.I'm wondering if the MCU version of the All-Black Necrosword will be Hela's helmet in L&T, since she had powers similar to Gorr in Ragnarok.
Hard to say if it could be the headdress.
But a connection between Odin and Hela reign of conquest with Gorr’s backstory would definitely give a stronger/more layered motivation to our villain and also add more personal/bigger stakes to Thor and the asgardians.
It would be wise for them to establish that connection in order to basically strengthen the plot.
I really like the look of that. Now on to Bale to deliver the performance we need!
Nice ideas. I hope they cover these.Yes. It would also retroactively improve Ragnarok a bit for me IMO, as I felt that the whole "Asgard's racist colonialist past" angle wasn't really given its due in that movie.
Making Gorr a direct product of that would make it a lot more weighty.
I definitely think that with this movie, they've got the opportunity to really explore some interesting ideas and themes. For example, there are some interesting parallels between Gorr and Jane, in that they are both powerless mortals who have suffered a lot, who suddenly come into possession of godly weapons. Only whereas Jane uses Mjolnir to save people, Gorr uses the Necro-Sword to commit deicide.
